New Year, New Me

So Wednesday and Enid are both 17, like you

Y/n's Pov
I just got dropped off by my butler,
John "Have fun this year, I'll see you at parents day" he says smiling slightly

"I look forward to it" I say, getting out of the car with my suitcase

He drove off and I wave him off
I then started walking into the building and Principal Weems comes over to me smiling
"Welcome back Ms. Y/n.
Your doormate this year is Enid Sinclair"
she then gave me a piece of paper with the dorm number on it
"Thank you, Principal Weems " I say, smiling, Mom always says

'If you act a certain way,
it'll always come back to you in the future as an insult to this family '

I sigh a breath of relief as she walked away. I didn't know why I was so nervous, I've been going to this school for years.

I am now stood outside the door of my new dorm. I opened the door and see Enid, she sees me, runs up to me and hugs me tightly, which I return
Then i hear my mother's voice in my head

'Never show people you care about them, that way they
can't find your weaknesses'

But I brush it off, this year,
I'm going to be a new me, wear my hair the way
I want, do my makeup how I want, and dress the way I want

Enid stopped hugging me and says
"So happy I can dorm with you this year!"

"Me too! It's the best right!" I say excitedly
"We can do eachothers nails, talk about boys, and girls, obviously and do makeup" she says, clapping her hands

"SO SO EXCITED " I squealed
"I wonder who Wednesday is with this year?" Enid says in a dazed wonder

"Ya... me too, I have a feeling it will be Bianca. They're rivalry friendship is one of the best" and Enid responds
"Omg! Yes, they definitely are,
you called it"

That's when we hear a knock
I go open the dorm and see my favourite
Teacher
"Ms. Thornhill " I said, smiling up at her
"Y/n, good to see you back this year"
Ms.Thornhill smiled

I let her come in and she had a plant in her arms
"I brought you girls a daffodil to represent your bubbly personalities, which make my classes way more fun to teach" she says smiling at us, and she hands Enid the plant

"This year, I'm your dorm mom. You come to me for when you have a problem, and need advice.
Oh... and no boys " she said, looking at Enid
I'm holding back my obnoxious laugh, as my mom called it.

Then her voice echos again
'You always laugh, and when you do, I don't know
if I'm talking to a seal or my failed abortion '

I then stopped holding back my laugh, as it left when I was thinking about what my dear mother had said

"Well, you girls get comfortable and love the way you decorated the dorm, it sure is lovely and fits both your lovely personality " she fixed her glasses, saying this

"Happy sleeping you too" she says, leaving and I look at Enid

"Isn't it like... 5 o'clock?"
"No.. its 9:30 in the night" Enid says, laughing.

"Oh well, better sleep so we can stay focused in class" I say and get ready for bed.

The flashback of that night cane to mind

I was on the ground of my bathroom, with my arms all bruised and my mother slapping me with her belt

I sigh looking at myself in the mirror
And i look at my beautiful self

I am pretty, I am worth it
Your mother is just stupid

I then get myself comfortable in my bed,
a breath of tiredness from my body escapes my nose

I close my eyes, as I use my powers to make me sleep.
"Goodnight Enid " I called over to my new roomie
"Goodnight Y/n" she said, yawning

I then drift off to sleep, ready for my classes tomorrow
