Twenty Seven

"Challe Avni, Manik is waiting" Nandini entered her room. It was Fab5 biggest concert today. A year they had been preparing for this, hardwork, lots of time and many emotions, especially for Manik. He was today going to introduce Avni to the media officially. After that attack at Aghat and then the mob in Banglore puja, Manik and Nandini had decided may be they can introduce Avni officially, especially after the recent attack, maybe if Avni was not kept away from media eyes, there will not be any attacks or maybe less possibility of it.

"Tum ready...." Nandini's eyes trailed at the big black suit case and she gave Avni a with confused expression

"I am going back, two hours mein flight hai" Avni said taking a black backpack and hugging it on her back. Nandini looked at her dumbfounded and then laughed

"Nice joke beta, now callo Manik is waiting, uss ko one hour mein report karna hai on the venue Kiddo" Nandini said turning to the door

"I am serious" Nandini heard her daughter making her stop. Nandini's grip on the door increased as a very bad feeling hit in the pit of her stomach.

"I am leaving" Avni said making Nandini turn

"Par...you...tum" Nandini shuttered, her feelings all over the place. Avni wanted to cry, but she couldn't, she didn't want to, she just went and hugged Nandini tightly. That hug made Nandini realizes something was not right.

"I'll miss you, aap... please come and visit me once a year" Avni said bitting back her tears and she broke the hug and without looking at Nandini she walked out. Nandini stood there for a minute not knowing what just happened and then darted out behind Avni

Avni walked out of the house to see Manik waiting for them leaning on his car

"Baby it's my concert what's taking you so long?" he said looking at Avni walking to him a minute later Nandini walked behind her taking haste steps

"Aur tum bhi kya Nandini isse lene gai aur itna time..." Avni walked past him to another car

"Avni" Nandini called her name as Butlers walked out with Avni's luggage

"What the fuck is going on?" Manik said looking at them confused

"Woh jaa rahi hai Manik, she is going back" Nandini said holding Manik's jacket as the Butlers loaded Avni's luggage in the car.

Manik looked at Nandini in disbelief and then at Avni, his nerves ran cold "Avni! Stop it!" Manik said walking to her but she said no word

"You said you will respect my decision" Avni said reminding him the night he and Nandini went to her room's door with that phone. Avni said it not looking at Manik, she had turned all pink, Manik noticed it. He knew she was trying not to cry, but why? Something was not right

Manik just kept looking at her trying to understand what was going on in her mind, when she turned to him "All the best for your concert though" Manik who kept looking at her, everything was just fine, then what happened.

"Go now" Avni whispered in a broken voice

"I'll drop you to the air.." Manik started to say, he wanted to know, he wanted to talk to her, he knew he can get it out of her if she talked to him.

"Paa is dropping me" Avni cut him and finally looked at his face

"Bye" he said with cold eyes. She was avoiding him. She wanted him to not come because she knew she will fall weak. Manik felt anger ran in every cell seeing her pushing him away like that

"Bye" she said and rushed to the car. She sat in the car besides Arnav who gestured the driver to start driving

Manik and Nandini stood there looking at the car go far away. Manik circled his hand around Nandini's waist as she hugged him tightly. There were no words just silence.
