"Captain Marvel," Diana's breath hitched when she finally found the elusive man. Something stirred within her.

No. He's my brother.
Diana took deep breaths to calm herself and to rein in her spiralling emotions.

The Greek god turned. His brilliant blue eyes held her enthralled. A rosy blush bloomed on his face.

"Diana?"
His voice was mesmerizing. She felt her cheeks heat up.

"We need to talk," Diana walked boldly to the powerfully built man - the perfect Adonis who towered over even her.

Her own voice dropped.
Sultry.
It's not her yet she couldn't help herself.

His breath was ragged as he leaned down towards her.

Passion blazed within her.

Her heart raced. Her cheeks burned as she found her hands wandering on his massive chest.

She could feel his warm breath against her skin. Their lips were barely an inch apart when abruptly, he pulled away.

"No!" He backed off. The Captain with the courage of Achilles fled.

Something wasn't right. She wanted to pursue him. Lustily...
Lust.
One of the seven sins had been targeting them both.

The Captain knew it too.

Lightning struck her shadow on the ground. Eerie wails shattered her ears as a black figure emerged from it.

The Captain hovered above it. Lightning danced on his fingertips. He exuded so much power it was intoxicating.

The creature's grotesque face snarled at him as it disappeared in a wisp of smoke.

"He's gone. Diana, are you okay?" Captain Marvel's concerned eyes scanned her from afar. His ears were still red as he kept his distance.

"Uh huh. Sorry," she murmured. Her voice still low and sultry. The effects from lust's insidious attack lingered.

"Uh ok. Nice seeing you. Anything you need to tell me, tell Billy," he murmured. His voice was like velvet as he turned his back on her and disappeared in a red blur.

-------

Billy had school that day, followed by his job at Whiz. He'd take care of his own dinner.

Diana spent the rest of the day exploring Fawcett's museums and walking in Fawcett's Park. What exactly happened between The Captain and herself?

Lust attacked them both and would have controlled both of them if not for Cap's indomitable willpower and quick action. The warning he gave the League about the Seven Sins was not to be scoffed.

How do you fight an enemy you can't even see. How do you even know it's an attack?

The sun was setting when she reached her hotel suite.

Tiny little Billy sat on the floor, hugging his knees, rocking to and fro as if to comfort himself. Her heart broke at the sight.

She knew the Captain's very close to the boy and probably told him everything.

Bile rose up her throat when she realized the boy knew what had transpired between his dad and herself.

"Billy," she knelt down and reached for the boy.

The tiny child shrank away from her touch as though it burnt him

"Cap told you?" How Cap could tell a little boy adult matters she couldn't understand but Billy was clearly freaked out.

"I know." The boy stared at his feet, as he hugged his knees.

"I'm sorry." The way she came on his dad was uncalled for. Even more so considering how badly it affected his kid.

"Not your fault. Takes two hands to clap."  His brilliant blue eyes were too old for one so young.

"Cap had the sense to pull away," she conceded. If not for his quick escape, they would certainly have gone too far.

"He almost succumbed. Too powerful," the child shuddered as if he were the one who had been hit.

"I should have guessed," she mumbled. Lust hit both of them hard.

"You better stay away from Cap. Even on League business. He can't handle it. Anything important, talk through me instead." The boy pressed his lips in a firm line. His eyes bore through her as he steeled himself to protect his dad.

"Beloved," whispered Talia as she ran her fingers over the dark fabric. She had cut it from Batman's cape during their last dalliance.

She knew it was not meant to be.

He returned her feelings but would constantly be forced to defend her from the League of Assassins. He's a cunning man in a Batsuit with skills and gadgets but he could die.

Sure, there's the Lazarus pit but that would change the core of his being. He would not come back as the man she loved.

"He belongs to you," a voice whispered seductively.

"I know," she whispered back.

"He wants you," it whispered.

"He wants many women," she rolled her eyes. "They want him back."

"He is the only one good enough for you."

"I know."

"Take him. Claim him back. I will give you the power to make him yours," it promised.

Talia opened her heart to the strange power that called her, that empowered her.
