summary: when (Y/N) is late for her school presentation, jackson and april rush to get her there, but traffic is not on their side

"babe." jackson mumbled as he shook his wife april awake. it was a beautiful snowy december morning, and jackson loved april being the first thing he sees when he wakes up.
"hi honey." april giggled as her eyes fluttered open, awaking to her husband.
"it's snowing hard." jackson slightly rose his head to look out the window.
"yeah, driving to the hospital's gonna be fun today." april joked before she leaned in to kiss her husband, but their kiss was quickly interrupted.
"MOM! DAD!" their daughter (Y/N) barged into her parent's room in an obvious state of panic.
jackson and april both jumped up at their daughter, as most parents would. they were both scared and confused at their daughter's outburst so early in the morning.
"WHAT? WHAT'S THE MATTER?"
"ARE YOU HURT? ARE YOU BLEEDING?"
"NO!" (Y/N) panicked before rushing over to her parent's beside table and picking up the digital clock that read 9 o'clock. "we're late!"
"oh my god." jackson's face dropped as he saw the time. he and april had to be at the hospital by 11 today, so they got to sleep in. however it slipped their mind that (Y/N) had a presentation at school today: a presentation that started at 9:45. a presentation that she could NOT be late for.
"OH MY GOD! how did this happen!? i set my alarm for 7!" april exclaimed.
"we probably slept through it! GOD!" jackson mentally kicked himself. he felt horrible and didn't want to be the reason (Y/N)'s day was ruined.
"what do we do!?" (Y/N)'s mind went blank for ideas, so she turned to her parents for help.
"alright get your coat, and get in the car! we'll be there in 2 minutes!" april instructed, tossing (Y/N) the car keys, to which (Y/N) fumbled and dropped them on the ground before picking them up again.
"what about breakfast!?" (Y/N) asked.
"i'll grab some fruit, you can eat in the car!" jackson said.
"BUT---!" (Y/N) started to panic again.
"GO! TIME IS MONEY!" april demanded as everyone ran out the door.
"GOD! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!?" (Y/N) said as she ran outside to go start the car.
the next two minutes were the quickest two minutes over their lives. (Y/N) started the car, jackson quickly put some apples and bananas into his work bag, and april grabbed their extra stuff they might need for the hospital. now fast forward to now, they're finally in the car and on their way to (Y/N)'s school.
