Y/n's POV:

Who knew being someone's fake girlfriend could be so difficult? Keeping this charade up was beginning to drain me. Of course, it was nice to spend extra time with Tom.
About a month ago, Tom had agreed to fake date me, although he didn't seem too sure about making Lucas jealous. Nevertheless, he agreed and was doing a pretty good job might I add.

However, I noticed that the more time I spent with Tom, the more Lucas slowly faded out of my mind. Tom began to stand out to me, and whenever he even smiled at me, butterflies would erupt in my stomach. But I had a job! I had to get Lucas to ask me out! I had to sort out my priorities.

A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts. I opened the door to see a grinning Tom. "You look great," he complimented. "Ready to go?"

I sighed shakily. "Yep."

Tom gave me an encouraging smile. "Don't worry. They'll love you."

Hoping to make our "relationship" seem more real, I had requested to meet Tom's family. Sure I had met them before, but it was always brief gatherings.

"I know," I sighed. "I mean, why should I worry? There's not a slight chance that they'll discover we were lying to them."

Tom opened the car door for me, and muttering a thank you, I slipped inside and buckled myself up. I put my head in my hands and took a shaky breath. Tom's door shut, and the sound of keys jangling was drowned out by the music as the car started. The car began to back down my driveway before we were off to his family's house.

My leg was bouncing up and down. But it wasn't just the thought of our lies being discovered. I did want to make a good impression on them, and regrettably, part of me wished that I was meeting his parents as his actual girlfriend, not his best friend who was just using him to make another guy jealous. But I couldn't think like that.

Shoving those thoughts down, I wrapped my arms around myself, suddenly insecure about myself. But why? I had never felt this way around Tom. Why now and not before? What was this feeling? It couldn't be love, for I had never felt this way around Lucas. I suddenly wanted to become enough for Tom, to be there for him as he had been for me, but to him, we were just friends. Nothing more.

Tom placed his hand on my leg and said nothing. My face began to heat up, so I looked out the window, attempting to hide it. Unfortunately, Tom noticed.

"'Bit chilly in here, don't you think?" Tom asked, evidently trying to hide his smirk.

I nodded my head, afraid of what would come out of my mouth if I opened it.

"You could've told me you were cold, Love. Let me turn the heat up." Tom stated as he cranked up the heat. His hand returned to my leg and he began to rub up and down, running his hand further up each time, getting uncomfortably close to my already soaking core. I knew I shouldn't have worn a dress.

Leaning my head against the frosty windows, I let out a shaky breath.

"Does it normally take this long to get to your parent's house?" I squeaked, as his pinky lightly brushed against my panties.
