Im speechless. I run into the barn, I take Jet out with his tack, I go on one of the trails
TANNER POV
I cant believe i did this to her.
"Is that Storm?" I heard Gin ask
"No, but it is Storm's colt, Harrison go after your girlfriend, see if she is okay" I said to Harrison who i had taken a liking to. Harrison nodded and whistled to his horse who came cantering up to him, Harrison jumped on to her and cantered off
"Do you know the story of how she got to this place?" Kaleb asked
"Simple or complicated?" I asked
"Simple" Taylor said
"According to Alex, she ran from Ohakune and ended up at Wellington harbour and dived in with Storm and swam all the way across Cook Straight. And ended up here, there is a lot more to go yet, she has been here for 4 years now" I told them
"She and Storm swam to the south island" Kaleb asked, I nodded. I saw Alex and Harrison cantering back here, they went straight to the barn and Alex got into a car and left. Then Harrison came up to us and led us inside.
"I know the story, but its not a good idea to be here, Alex told me everything about Scotland and her abusive father. She didnt even know about her own brother" Harrison said,
"Please tell Alex we are sorry, and that i wasnt the one who sent that text" Gin said to Harrison,
"She wouldnt believe you, oh there, she is, finally," Harrison said waving to a car behind us, then a beautiful girl came out
"Hey Ells hows your hubby?" Harrison said to her
"Hes good, where is Alex, I need her and who are these 4" the girl asked
"The ones who ruined her lives" Harrison said,
"Oh, hi, goodbye, oh there is Alex" She said and ran over to the car and jumping onto Alex, I look at her,
"She looks beautiful" Harrison said, and boy she did, Alex is pulling off the black hair, and its shorter.
Alex came over to us
"I need to tell you the story of being here, you may not like it, Tanner heard it, but he has to have his mouth zipped" Alex said sharply, we headed inside
"This is the complicated version" Harrison told the 3. They nodded.
We sat down on seats
"This is the story, I came back to New Zealand, to see my father and his newly wedded wife, and is about to have a baby, we went up the mountain as it was winter and did some skiing, my natural talents coming back. I came back and then Kaleb and I talked, Im not taking it any further than that, then I came inside, found a man, then my father introduced me to him as my brother Dallas. I was angry, I packed up and grabbed Storm's tack dumped it on him then i cantered away. I headed no where until i found out a few days later I was heading south. I ended ip at Wellington Harbour, I did have money and had the option to take the ferry or swim, i chose option 2 and we dived in, it took a few good hours, it was lucky i was fit. I ended up at Piction. Then i headed west and found this town, thats when the twins found me, they took me in and their parents took me in as another daughter, Storm had lost a little strength after a full day of swimming, but I didnt go on any further and the three of us became really good friends. Me and Harrison tried out dating but that ended up of me getting pregnant" Silence came over us when she said pregnant
"I went through with the pregnancy for the second time with help" she glared at Taylor
"I found the perfect adoption parents and they are looking after him really well, I bred Storm with Harrison's mare and that got me Jet, He has an amazing jump in him. I had people asking me to breed their mare with Storm. They gave me good money, some gave 10 thousand NZ dollars. You dont need how much money i have right now, but thats my story" There was silence, she left to go upstairs.
ALEX POV
I let a sigh out as soon i was in my room. I wish they would all leave, then a knock came at the door, I opened it, it was Kaleb
"I dont want to talk, but fine, get in" i said
"I dont know how to start this, but I have been in love with you since i was eighteen and thats 10 years ago, you were 12 when you at were at the mountain asking for a lesson and training, I cant bear for you to be with anyone else" Kaleb confessed to me, I dont know what Im feeling. But I went up to him and kissed him.
