OKAY SO IF YOU ARE NOT THEM ILL EXPLAIN
basically kotone has these vv cool magical girl ocs (mgr) and i offered to draw them some concept art for their characters magical forms !!!

THESE ARE NOT MY OCS!!

i started by drawing kei and what i assume was her magical form
u showed it once in an edit (im realising that it's hair is not supposed to be blue but it's prob just the effects... my bad)
i also added those things wrapped around her arms and legs because i like the idea of incorporating the jewellery into a different element of the design !! it's like kei's headpiece thingy!!

NOW. i started by thinking abt ryu, since he's the mc i think
you mentioned wanting to maybe use a tarot card motif, so i started there !
i read one article and i think i kinda understand now so YIPEE
i went thru a couple ideas

i liked this at first bc of its meaning but it didn't reallyyyy fit that well so i moved on

again i thought this one could fit but like... how to incorporate that. idfk???

then i finally found TBHS

i thought it tied into both his own arc with him deciding between his true friend and people he wanted to be like, but also how he "wins" against the shadows by reconciling with kei and freeing her!!
like omg that sounded kinda... perfect for what i know about him so far
so i took it into mine and got going

these were my first couple of sketches. had no idea where i was going other than... kinda like an angel concept but i knew he was fire so
i think he should keep the wings or something which resembles them as a tie back to the card, HOWEVER maybe during a fight he could Like...

OKAY SO THIS AOUNDS WEIRD BUT I THINK HE COULD DO SOMETHING THAT ALMOST SOUNDS SYMBOLIC WHERE THE WINGS APPEAR LIKE ANGEL WINGS AT THE START OF EACH BATTLE BUT IF NEEDS BE HE CAN BURN THEM OFF QND IY GIVES  HIM SOME WEIRD BOOST

OR IT MAKES HIS QEAPONS ALL FIERY AND LIKE SUREOUNDED WITH FLAMES SO HE CAN KILL SHIT!!!!

so i had this sketch which i like but i think the beads could be replaced with like chains or something to make it more justice inspired
now ik he doesn't sound very fiery yet so stick with me here

ill elaborate on these
the gabble is like a judge's hammer which i think should be fire coloured with gold accents !
i think it should cause burns to whatever it hits

another additional ability i think he should have is like.......... being able to change the weight of his weapon to tie back into the theme of judgement and law!!
could use imagery of scales on his design but idk how u would incorporate that :shrug:

anyways these were just my ideas on how i would have done him myself to maybe inspire u :D
