basically the way the characters are names is they take things from human culture they find interesting / cool

beatle is named after the beatles because he likes music ?!

to be fair pat is just named that cuz i thought naming an alien pat / PATRICK was funny as shit for no reason

clair is named after clair de lune and crescent is also named after the moon obviously

sage is named after the colour. yep it's literally that simple
