Li Han had asked for a leave of absence for his morning job so that he could check out the restaurant which Ming Xi recommended. It was quite a bit far and it was in a classy neighborhood so Li Han doubted he would get the job or be able to come here everyday after all it depended on the salary. When Li Han walked in, he was greeted with bright lights which almost blinded him at some point but he adjusted to it. He was confused because no one was there even at the reception so he silently waited. A woman soon appeared and almost jumped in fright at the silent statue of a man who bowed and greeted politely, she asked

"Who are you?"

"My name is Huang Li Han"

"Aiya, you must be the person Ming Xi talked about, com'on follow me" Li Han silently followed her, she got to a door and knocked before saying "The new recruit is here sir" A grumbling voice said something inaudible then the girl moved from the door and turned to Li Han

"You can go in" Li Han nodded and bowed to her before opening the door, the lights again, there was a huge man sitting on a chair looking at some papers before turning to Li Han who was scared of the man but once he spoke he calmed down

"Hello, you must be Li Han" Li Han bowed and greeted politely but the man said "Please seat" motioning for the chair beside him, Li Han sat awkwardly

"I am Da Hui the head waiter and also the manager, you were heavily recommended by Joan" Li Han guessed the name belonged to the girl he met

"Do you have any experience in waitering"

After Li Han finished talking to the head waiter he was introduced as a trainee for two weeks before he was finally able to learn the mannerism of a waiter. The pay was high which shocked Li Han to see that much zeros but he knew the restaurant was one of high quality and it was only for people with deep pockets, but that did not stop him from getting along with the rest of the staff who teased him a lot because he bowed every single time. He was also surprised that the people who mostly worked there were recessive alpha's and dominant omegas but sadly he was the only beta but he got along nicely.

Li Han had quit his morning job which was the janitor to a small office so he now worked full time there. Li Han happily got to his house when his neighbor's door opened, she bowed when she noticed him "Hello, you seem to be in a good mood today" she said shyly

"Ah yes it's because it's the weekend and thanks to you I have a very nice job" Li Han said to the blushing Ming Xi who took a deep breath and rushed out

"Can we go on a date? It's okay if you don't want to, I'm...

"Yes"

Ming Xi looked shocked at her handsome neighbor "Really?" She asked in disbelief

"Yes Ming Xi, how about we go tomorrow, 6:30 pm, is that okay?" Li Han said. Ming Xi was so excited that he said her name, she almost had a nosebleed so she nodded earnestly and ran back into her apartment. Li Han laughed at the silly woman who took her trash bag back inside. Once Li Han got into his apartment, his charm came off and he wondered to himself 'What made me so confident' 'I don't even have any nice clothes'. Li Han ran to his messy wardrobe rummaging for what to wear.

6:30pm on the dot the next day, the two crabs came out of their house at the same time which made them stand awkwardly as they took each other's dressing in. Ming Xi was dressed in a casual flower-pattered sundress, her hair which Li Han usually saw in a ponytail was flowing in waves and she had made an effort to put on make up meanwhile Li Han on the other hand wore a long sleeved black shirt, casual slacks with two jackets because apparently he read online that people get cold and it was romantic to give your jacket to them but Li Han knew he would get cold and need the jacket back so he wore two.

The two of them sat in a semi-fancy restaurant which Li Han reserved after doing his research. "You look very pretty" Li Han said truthfully to the shy Ming Xi who said "You too". They lagged in awkward silence before a waiter came to take their order, once the waiter left Li Han asked

"Do you like the restaurant, I chose it specially"

"It's really nice but I did not expect us to come here"

"Where did you expect us to go" Li Han asked interested in her answer which made her blush

"I thought we were going to a hot pot" Li Han couldn't hold back his laughter

"Aiya don't make fun of me"

"What" he said wheezing " Then why did you wear a dress?"

"Because... I thought it would look cute"

"Well it does" Ming Xi blushed again, soon enough the waiter brought their food, the awkward air had gone and they chatted happily. Once they were done, Li Han paid and Ming Xi took them out for ice cream. They were walking home with their arms linked

"Thank you I really enjoyed tonight" Li Han said

"Me too"

"Maybe next time I can take you for hot pot" Li Han and Ming Xi were both surprised by what he said

"Really?" Li Han nodded which made Ming Xi smile. Li Han was hot and sweating bullets because he desperately needed to get his double jacket off

"You're sweating a lot, how about you take your jacket off" Li Han nodded and quickly took off his two jackets, Ming Xi was surprised and she asked

"Why are you wearing two jackets?"

"Ahh" Li Han shyly told her the truth which made her laugh she almost choked on her ice cream. Once they got to the place where they parted ways, they exchanged numbers and Ming Xi gave him a peck on the lips before running into her apartment, Li Han tasted strawberries which was probably from her ice cream.

Li Han spent Sunday lazing around and on Monday, he went right back to work. Li Han served the customers diligently, after dropping off an order he went to take another order but he froze in shock as two dark eyes focused on him.
