His hollow breathing and mismatched features reminded me of Frankenstein. I would've loved to study this if it wasn't for the impending life-or-death situation I was currently facing.

"I am of your blood. I have summoned you to rid the world of outcasts once and for all." Her crazy smile almost cracked her face. His head turned toward her, sickening crushing was heard as if his newly formed bones were scraping against each other.

"My justice will be swift and true." He said this, extending his blackened fingers and claw-like fingernails, a ring prominent on his hand. Without hesitation, Laurel kissed it. While they had been busy I had been picking at my cuffs and finally popped them open.

"As will mine." I threw down the cuffs and took a step toward them. Crackstone raised his staff and the tip glowed an eerie green. A powerful force hit me like a freight train and I was frozen in place, unable to move. I looked around, unsure of what to do.

"Ah. Goody Addams. You haunt me still." As he said this he pulled a small dagger out of his belt. "You will suffer the same fate you bequeathed me." I prepare to feel the cold hard blade when-

"STOP!" Everyone freezes and turns toward the entrance of the crypt. Crackstones magic wears off and I fall to the ground. I look up and Tyler is standing in the doorway, his eyes filled with anger.

"Tyler? What are you doing here? I told you to go wait by the boat." Laurel said, her eyes now focused on him. Tyler walked closer, starting to growl.

"I'm done listening to you Laurel. You made me hurt those people. You made me your slave. NO MORE!" Laurel took a step back, visibly confused and slightly scared as to how Tyler had broken her control over him, but Crackstone just laughed. My skin crawled hearing that. It's never done that before.

"Well well, what do we have here? Give me your best-shot boy." I looked at Tyler and shook my head but he didn't see me.

He ran at Crackstone, his eyes starting to get big and his clothes starting to rip. Just like before, he raised his staff and stopped him dead in his tracks, even changing him back to normal. I tried to get up to help him but Crackstone kicked me in the ribs, making me groan in pain. He took a look between the two of us.

"You care about this measly creature, don't you? Well then." He takes his dagger, plunging it into Tyler's stomach, his eyes going wide with surprise. Crackstone twisted the knife more, making Tyler groan. Crackstone releases him from the spell and lets go of the knife, Tyler's hands grabbing the dagger as he falls against the wall.

"TYLER!" His name almost screams out of my throat as I watch him fall against the wall, his breathing becoming raspy and slow as blood began to slowly trickle from his mouth. I watched as Laurel and Crackstone walked past him, leaving just the two of us in their wake.

"Goodbye Wednesday!" Laurel says, her cheery tone echoing in the night outside the crypt. I finally stand up, forgetting about the pain in my ribs, and getting to Tyler's side as fast as possible.

"Tyler?! Open your eyes. Please!" I'd never been more scared in my entire life. I felt my eyes begin to water but I didn't stop them this time. Small tears made their way down my pale face. The only thing I cared about was Tyler. He groaned and forced his eyes to open, their usual warmness replaced by fear and sadness.

"It's-its okay Wednesday. I deserve this. It's my pen-penance for everything I've done. All the people I hurt. I finally did something good. Saving you." His breathing began to get slower after he finished talking.

"Dammit Tyler. I didn't want you to save me. I just wanted you. I need you. Please don't go." Tears started to pour down my face. I held his hand tight. I could feel his grip slipping.
