Peter swung Dani to the Statue of Liberty, where the stood in the same place where they said goodbye She looked around for a few seconds, before looking at him, with tears in her eyes.
"...Peter?"
Peter turned around and looked at her
"You... You found me."
"I did... and I love you."
"I love you more."
The couple happily kissed, melting into each others' embrace, but they were forced to pull away, when they heard evil laughter, and the sounds of turbines and thrusters coming closer to them. Once the villain got close to the two lovers, he looked at them.
"Peter..." snarled the Hobgoblin.
"How do you know my name?"
The villain laughed.
"Oh, Peter... we were like brothers once..." he said, before lifting up his faceplate, revealing a sinister, maniacal smile. "Remember?"
"Oh, my God! Ned!" cried Peter.
"You said you'd come find MJ... you said you'd come find me... but you didn't!" he spat. "You spent all your time worrying about your sweet, little girlfriend! Whatever happened to bros before-"
"Don't you dare finish that sentence!" Peter warned, before trying to talk his best friend back to a place of logic and reason. "Ned, I didn't forget about you, man! I was going to come find you, I swear! After I got Dani to remember me, I was gonna come and find you, then MJ!"
"That's what you want me to believe, isn't it?!"
"Ned, this isn't you!" cried Dani. "Now, please! Stop this!"
"She's right, dude. This is insane! You gotta stop!"
Ned smiled and shook his head, bring his faceplate back down.
"NOT UNTIL YOU'RE DEAD! HAHAHAHAHAHA!"
With that, Ned threw a pumpkin bomb at the couple.
"Dani!" shouted Peter.
Luckily, Peter wore his Iron Spider suit and he managed to use the nanotech to make a shield to protect himself and Dani. Once the explosion had died down, Peter looked back up and saw his new foe flying away on his glider, laughing manically. After hearing his girlfriend groaning in pain, Peter looked back at Dani.
"You alright?" he asked her, tending to her wound.
"No..." she winced.
Unfortunately, Peter's nanotech suit wasn't fully charged, making the metal's density not as strong as it should be. When the bomb exploded, a fragment of it pieced through the shield and went into Dani's leg.
"This is gonna hurt, ok?" he told her, Dani nodding in response. "I'm sorry."
Peter grabbed the fragment and pulled it from his girlfriend's leg. Dani, wincing while a few tears slipped from her eyelids. After removing the piece, Peter made a makeshift bandage out his webs, which he wrapped around her leg.
"That's gonna have to do for now. We gotta take you back to your place and get it properly cleaned up."
"Ok," said Dani. "Wait, what's that noise?"
Once he head the sound of helicopter blades whirring, he looked up and saw the other five Cimorelli sisters in the chopper.
"Peter?" asked Lauren.
