Chapter 39

LAURICE

"Good morning," I heard Chris say.

"Morning," I told him as I moved closer and I smiled when he fixed his hold on me. "What time is it?" I asked him.

"Past six."

"Your work starts at nine, right?" I asked him.

"Yeah. Pero kaya ko naman mag-ayos in thirty minutes."

"Well, I can't," I admitted and he laughed. His voice is so much deeper, most probably from just waking up. "Anong oras ka nagising?"

"More or less ten minutes ago?"

I nodded at his answer and I was thinking of telling Chris to wake me up before seven if I fall asleep. Kaso napadilat ako na ikinagulat pa ni Chris.

"I forgot to tell Kate!"

"Already told my men to contact her that you're here and for clothes," Chris told me calmly.

"You knew I forgot?" I asked him.

"Nope. Just making sure since wala ka namang damit dito."

We lay there for a while, just talking until we decided it was time to get up. Nagkatinginan pa kami kasi may scattered na packs ng condom. All we could do was laugh pero Chris picked them up on his way to the bathroom. I still feel a little lazy so I just lay there on his bed. Then I realized that I have clothes on, it smells like him.

"Chris?" I called and I heard him hum in question, a little muffled so siguro he's brushing his teeth. "Did you dress me up last night?"

"Yeah. Malamig 'pag gabi so I just had you wear one of my pajamas."

I touched myself, just to see if may places ba na malagkit from sweat or something but there wasn't. So I'm guessing he wiped me with a wet cloth since I think I can smell soap. I can't help but smile.

Sumunod naman ako agad sa bathroom and when I did, Chris held his toothbrush using his mouth then he opened one of the cabinets. He handed me a new toothbrush after n'ya lagyan ng toothpaste and a reusable cup.

"We look cute," I said while brushing my teeth.

"Do you want to take a picture?" He asked and I nodded my head.

After non, lumabas si Chris but he came back almost immediately with his phone naman. We took a bit longer in the bathroom because we were doing silly poses. There's even one na I hopped on his back and kissed his cheek.

Natigil lang yung picture taking namin nang may kumatok sa room n'ya. It was his butler saying na nandito na raw yung damit na dala ni Kate for me. Pinauna naman ako ni Chris maligo and because I wanted to spend time with him before we leave for work, binilisan ko yung pagligo ko.

Kate brought me my usual hygiene kit when I travel and a few clothes which I can mix and match kaya medyo natagalan ako before I decided that I should start my makeup sa walk-in-closet ni Chris. Well, the mirror in my walk-in-closet is definitely better since it has better lighting being a vanity mirror with light bulbs around the frame but the lighting in Chris' closet isn't so bad either. I had to comb my hair to keep it away from my face kasi I forgot to ask where Chris' hair dryer is if he had one.

"Hey, I forgot to tell you about the hair dryer," Chris said and medyo nagulat pa ako. Parang kapapasok lang n'ya sa bathroom kanina ah? I haven't even started my makeup!

"You're done?" I asked.

"Yeah," he said as he ran his hand through his hair while he's wearing nothing but a towel. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
