Scourge - Theater Class

Idea: Theater has been goofy lately. I thought it would be fun to write about it. Y/n and Scourge are in a school setting, both in theater class. Scourge not wanting to be there and Y/n wants to be there.

Y/n was sitting with their friends at lunch, laughing and talking. They're table had Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, Tails, Shadow, Rouge, and Silver. Y/n was having fun with her friends but they couldn't wait for her next class, theater. It was such a fun class and yesterday they learned a new game called freeze.

Though, there was someone in there that held them back. Scourge. They didn't know how to feel about him. He was the one to always have a new girlfriend, disrupt class, plus their friend Sonic hated him. Though, Scourge never did anything bad to Y/n. Heck, he was even nice to them.

Yes, there was flirting and cockiness that came with it but he never pushed any boundaries. Y/n felt like they should hate him but they couldn't bring themselves to. They did promise themselves not to fall for his tricks though. Not wanting to fall with the broken hearted girls.

When the bell rung for the end of lunch. Y/n's group stood and gathered their things. They kept their conversations as they threw away their trash and walked out of lunch. Y/n was the only one down the hall. They waved bye to their friends and walked into class. They sat down and dropped their stuff.

They got their Chromebook, phone charger, and phone. They plugged up their phone charger into their computer then started charging their phone. Once they put their phone down, they saw Scourge walk beside them and sit in his desk that was behind Y/n.

"Hey." Y/n heard a whisper behind them, they turned their head a bit. "Hm?" Scourge leaned forward, "What're we doing today?" He questioned and Y/n shrugged, not really wanted to start a conversation. Scourge nodded and leaned back.

Once the bell rung for class to start the teacher walked in. "Hey everybody! How has everyone's day?" He questioned, then room filled with many different 'goods'. There weren't many in the class. Only 8, including you and Scourge.

"Today we will be playing freeze. Almost everyone in the class got excited. Scourge rolled his eyes and pulled out his phone.

The way you play is that two or more go up and start acting out a scene. At some point, someone in the audience will say freeze and take the place of one of the actors. They turn the scene into something completely different.

All the kids that participated were having fun. Y/n was holding back though. They felt they didn't want to make a fool of themselves in front of Scourge, even though he wasn't watching. Though the more they played, the more they forgot who they were with. Y/n stopped holding back, catching the whole classes attention. They were making everyone laugh, including Scourge.

Scourge couldn't help but watch, he never knew Y/n could be like this. He's never seen this side to them. Feelings started to bubble up in him, feelings he didn't believe so he ignored them, pushed them away.

"Y/n, I want you to dance like a monkey!" A student told Y/n and they danced weirdly but funny. "Okay okay stop." Said the other student, she thought for a second then spoke again, "Go get me a banana."

Y/n nodded and smiled. "You want a banana? Okay!" They ran to the other side of the room, and jumped in a chair, they grabbed a fake banana and jumped out of the chair and ran to the other student. Everyone laughing at their acting. "Do you want another??" Y/n said, breaking character a bit. They did all that again, laughing at this point.

The other student dying if laughter, unable to continue. Thought it was the end of class anyway. Both Y/n and the student sat in their seats. Y/n started to gather their stuff and pack it away.

"I didn't know you could act like that and be so funny." Scourge said, leaning forward in his desk. Y/n blushed a little bit and chuckled. "Well, now you do" Y/n finished packing everything and turned to Scourge. "Why don't you do that more often?" He questioned, Y/n tried to think of an answer other than the truth.

Luckily, they were saved by the bell. "I'll tell you later." Y/n responded before slipping their bag on and leaving.

Y/n sat at the park, enjoying the bird noises and the wind. They were away from other people, at least they thought so. They heard a girl yelling at someone. Y/n gave a sigh and glanced around. After a bit, a girl passed by very angrily with Scourge a bit behind, not following her. He just happened to get in view of Y/n.

"Damn, tried to be nice this time." He mumbled to himself. "What'd you say?" Y/n asked, looking at him. He jumped a bit and looked at her, "Oh, hey there." He walked over and sat on the bench, beside them. "All I said was that I don't have feelings for her but someone else."

Y/n chuckled a bit, "Could have said that better." Scourge raised a brow, cupping his hands together, "Really? How would you do it?"

Y/n got into character and turned to him. "Look, I enjoyed our time together but I don't feel the same. I'll understand if you're angry or upset with me. I just hope I can make it up to you somehow." They spoke in a sincere tone.

"Okay wow, uh" Scourge scratches the back of his neck, not knowing what to say. He was never good with his words, he knew he couldn't be like that. Y/n chuckled at him, "But hey, what you did was a start. Who's your next target?" Y/n was playful at the start but not so much in the end.

"Target? What the hell do you mean by that?" He wasn't really too upset but couldn't help but feel somewhat upset. Y/n shrugged and faced forward again and lent back. "You always get with another girl within two weeks or so from your last one. Unless you're going back to Fiona?"

Scourge rolled his eyes and looked away. "I do have someone in mind. But not in the way you think." Y/n raised a brow and looked at him, a bit shocked he hadn't walked away. "Yeah? Go a month without dating someone." They responded and he looked at them. "What?"

"Let's make a deal. You take a month off dating and then you can go out with that new person. And I'll buy you lunch or something" Y/n challenged, Scourge thought for a second. "You know what, fine. Deal." He stuck his hand out for a hand shake. Y/n took it and shook his hand.

After that, the month began. Scourge didn't even try to date anyone. Keeping his eyes on the one he wanted. Y/n almost immediately forgot about the deal. Over the course of this month, Y/n did end up hanging out with Scourge a bit more. Mostly to help with theater but since theater was so crazy, it'd turn into a hang out.

At the end of the month Scourge had won.

Both of them were sitting at the park again. Talking about anything and everything.

"Oh hey, remember last month?" Scourge started, Y/n thought for a second then shook their head. "No, I don't?" Scourge chuckled and smirked. "You're paying for our date this Friday." He said, looking at them, this threw Y/n off. "What do you mean?"

"I didn't date anyone, so now you owe me lunch." He reminded them, "But didn't you have someone in mind?" Y/n looked away, they had fallen for him. Despite desperately trying not to. "Yeah, you." He lent back on the bench, draping an arm over the back. Y/n quickly looked at him. "Me?"

Scourge nodded, "Yep, you." Y/n thought for a second. "How do I know you're not lying?" Scourge's smile dropped a bit as he thought. "You don't, but you can at least try and trust my words when I say this is true."

Y/n stared for a second before looking away and gave a small smile.

"Alright, I'll pay for the date."
