Chapter I(part 2): Aonungs POV

Aonung and his friends had been swimming with their illus all morning. They had been racing and splashing each other, but Aonung had also been bragging to them about his tooth necklace.
Friend 1: "So, Aonung! Whered you get your necklace from, bro?"
His friend said laughing.
Aonung: "Ha! Ive told you this before. I fought that ugly Akula and totally beat its ass!"
His friends all look at each other and start laughing.
Friend 3: "Yeah. Sure."

Aonung paused for a moment, making a pouting face.
Aonung: "You guys dont believe me? Bring it on then!-"
Aonung then lifted his fist, and so did his friend.
Just as they were about to start fighting against each other with their Illus, they heard the loud noise of the tribal horn being played, signaling them to come to the shore.
Aonung: "Damn.. havent heard that thing in ages."
Friend 1: "I wonder what its about."
Aonung: "My father will beat my ass if I dont show up, lets go friend1/name."
Aonungs friend gives a sarcastic look.
Friend 1: "Seriously, Bro? Youre that scared of your dad?"
Aonung gives a smug laugh.
Aonung: "Not as much as youre scared of me, pussy boy!"

Aonung and his friend now walk in the middle of the crowd, pushing navis around to make room. As Aonung walks in front of the 2 brothers who hand gestured the 'i see you' motion.
Aonung just ignored this, and kept walking around the 2 boys. He instantly notices a girl, around the same age as him, standing with an unamused expression, holding a cloth tightly around her chest. He lets out a small chuckle.

He notices that she gives him a dirty look, making an even bigger smirk appear on his face.
Aonungs friend then proceeds to comment on the strange navis appearances.
Friend 1: "Tsk.. are those supposed to be tails? How are they supposed to swim!"
Tsireya now walks over, hitting his friend on the arm.
Tsireya: "Stop it, friend 1/name."

He now rolls his eyes, turning to Aonung. His friend notices the tension between Aonung and the Forest girl, so he whispered in his ear.
Friend 1: "I bet you cant make that girl see you in a 30 moons."
Aonung looks at his friend in disbelief, giving a sarcastic smirk.
Aonung: "theres no way im making that forest girl my mate."
The friend now rolls his eyes.
Friend 1: "No skxawng, just her."
Aonung now looks at him again, pausing for a moment.
Aonung: "What would I out of it."
His friend now snickers a bit.
Friend 1: "If you get her to say that she sees you, Ill fight an Akula."
Aonungs eyes widen a bit, surprised by this statement.
Aonung: "Mmm.. and if she doesnt?"
The friend now smirks, squinting his eyes.
Friend 1: "Then you have to fight an akula.. AGAIN."
His friend put an emphasis on 'again', not believing he ever fought one in the first place.

Aonung then hits his friend on the arm, reassuring him of this
Aonung: "Shut your gills up, I did kill one. And plus..-"
Aonung then looks back at the girl, smirking.
Again, the forest girl sees this, hissing at him.
Aonung: "All the girls see me."
Aonung says confidentially, making his friend shrug.
Aonung: "The bet is on, bro, get ready to be eaten alive."
