We got inside and sat on the couch. Matt grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around me.
"Are you alright?" Chris asked.
"Yeah.. I'm okay. For real this time."
I leaned up against Matt and he wrapped his arm around me.
"So are you and Charlotte a thing now?"
"Nah, we're just friends." Matt said.
My heart was honestly shattered at his words. Just friends? We've made out multiple times and we're just friends?
"Actually, I'm gonna go to bed.."
"Want me to come with you?"
"It's fine. You don't have to. It's not like you're my boyfriend or anything."
Matt looked down at the ground as I whispered to myself.
"That's what I thought.. just friends my ass.."
I laid down on Matt's bed and stared up at the ceiling with tears in my eyes.
Matt walked in.
"Charlotte. I'm an idiot."
"You think I didn't know that?"
He laid down right next to me.
"I'm serious. I guess I didn't catch on."
"We've kissed like 50 times and you just realized that?"
He smiled at me.
"I told you I'm an idiot."
"Matt.."
"Hm?"
I moved closer to Matt and he wrapped his arm around me.
"So.."
"Are you asking me to be your boyfriend?"
"Maybe.."
"If that's the case then yes. 100% yes."
I kissed him and we fell asleep.

"Guys, Wake up."
"Huh?" Matt said half asleep.
"Remember.. funeral.."
"Oh yeah.." I said lightly.
Matt and I both got up and I changed. A cute back dress that I put in Matt's closet a while ago.
I looked in the mirror and saw Matt struggle with his tie before walking over and hugging me from behind.
"Do you need help?" I asked with a chuckle.
"Maybe a little."
I turned around and helped Matt. I looked up at him before speaking.
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"Everything. I really don't know what i'd do without you."
He kissed me, but not like before. It was different. It was almost like the night in the car.
"Hey, you guys ready?" Chris asked.
"Yeah, let's go."
