Hi everyone! I'm so sorry for being late! It has been a rough couple of days when changing schools, classes...you know the story. Anyway, I'll try to keep posting every week or fortnight! So, let's start right away! Enjoy!

ATHENA PARKS

I was mounting the stairs, and stayed a few minutes in front of the door. It was as if I was going to open the dark blue door for the first time again. The only difference was that I was saying to myself several times, "Please...not them, not them...". Funny how things have changed drastically in the past couple of months...taking a deep breath, I entered and as usual, my unfortunate luck rewarded me.

-Do any of you guys know the saying, "Get a room"? I said as I banged my bag, on the office table, louder than I wanted.

I tried as hard as I possibly could, not to look at Bree's bed, when I turned around I saw two blushing teenagers, sitting next to each other.

-Sorry Ath. apologised Bree, staring at her feet, which surely, had a great story to tell.

-Next time, you could knock? joked James laughing.

-Right...knock to my own bedroom, you really have the big brains when it comes to suggesting something really stupid. I replied, annoyed.

-Damn Ath...cool it...it won't happen again. I'll take Bree to my room next time.

That sentence made Bree blush even harder, which made it even more difficult for me to stay calm.

-It's fine, I was going out again anyway. I tried to say as lightly as my temper allowed me to.

-Hey...are you alright? He asked as he got up to make his way towards me.

-Please don't. I stopped him. Not right now. I have to go. I grabbed my bag, missing to smash the lamp with it and barged out as quickly as possible, saying above my shoulder, feel free NOT to use my bed!

I slammed the door so hard that I thought it could have caused several earthquakes deep in the Arctic Ocean. Just then, Mackenzie got out of her own room, puzzled. The look she gave me was filled with worry that it made me feel very uncomfortable. She didn't say anything, she just grabbed her bag and her coat and closed the door behind her while I stayed frozen, waiting for her next move. She walked towards me and whispered,

-Girls' night out? Just the two of us?

It was as if she had read my mind, it has always been like that between us. With Bree, she was always excited and girly, those two went shopping all the time...but with me, she was calmer and it felt as if we understood each other. We didn't gossip or talk about guys, we talked about everything else! Which might have seemed odd to other people. I was surprised by my own answer, I was going to decline even though I wanted to go out, but I accepted.

We headed to her small yellow Ford, and she drove to Palo Alto. A city near the university. We remained silent during the whole trip, none of us dared to talk. She parked in front of a diner, "The Restaurant".

-What are we doing here? I asked as we both got out of the car.

-You need some carbs... Besides, I think you'll like it here and the food is good.

She was right, as soon as I entered...my whole world lit up. This diner looked exactly as in the movies! The red and yellow tiled floor, the red booths, the counter with brown leather stools...it was as if I was part of the sitcom "Seinfeld"! My heart was already pounding against my chest as I gazed around in awe. It looked exactly the same!

-Come here Ath! Called out Mackenzie chuckling at the booth. I sat opposite her and she added, I already ordered milkshakes, fries, and chocolate and maple syrup pancakes!
