"Mama? Papa? Where are you going?" My (e/c) eyes shined in wonder as we walked down the sidewalk.
"We are just going for a walk sweetie," Mamas sweetly sick, voice said.

"Can we eat something?" My innocent voice spoke.
"How about some ice-cream?" Papa said with a strained voice.
<<IT'S AS COLD AS YOUR HEART>>
"Sounds like a great idea!" Mamas 'smile' appeared.
"How about your favorite ice-cream store?" Papas voice said with his, smile.
"Yea!" I cheered as I smiled.
<<YOU TRICKED ME>>
"Mmm! This is good. Why don't you get some mama and papa?"
"We're not hungry right now," Mamas bitter smile appeared.
"Maybe later," Papas happy, yet strained voice said.

"How about we go sit on that bench?" Mama pointed to a brown bench that sat across the mostly empty street on the sidewalk.
"Yea, come on sweetheart, lets rest our legs for a bit," Papa said as he grabbed my hand before crossing the road.
<<LIED>>
"Hey sweetie, stay here for a bit. Mama and papa have something we forgot to get," Mama got up from next to me with papa following.
"Yea. Don't worry kiddo. We'll be back before you know it," Papa grabbed mamas hand and began walking away.
<<DID I DO SOMETHING WRONG>>
"Okay! Bye mama and papa. See you in a bit!" I waved my (s/c) hand as their figure started to disappear.
"By sweetheart! Be a good girl until mama and papa come back!" Mama shouted from a distance.
"Ok!" I shouted with a smile.
<<YOU LEFT ME>>
I sat on the bench as some people passed. Some talked to me, yet I told them I don't talk to strangers.
I don't know how long it has been, but it felt like hours since mama and papa left.
I looked at the sky to see it was sun set instead of the regular blue sky from earlier.
I had no choice but to wait for mama and papa to come back. I didn't exactly know my way back home. And I don't want to risk getting lost.
<<AM I A FAILURE TO YOU?>>
After waiting some more, it was night time and it started to get cold. I brought my knees up to my chest and wrapped (s/c) arms around my legs as I shivered when a breeze blew by.
'Where are you mama? Where are you papa?' I thought.
I then waited...
Waited...
Waited...
Until reality came washing over me:
They left me here. On purpose. They abandoned me.
"But they promised.." I whispered before putting my head down and sobbing quietly.
