Last you remember of your old home, is being lifted up into his arms.
The bed you laid in was not yours. It was dark red, the windows boarded up. Despite the failing state of the estate, the room was beautiful, untouched by time. It was rather cliché, but you now saw where those vampire tales had come from. The clock on the wall told you it was nine o' clock.
Your sickly form didn't have the energy to step out of bed, miserably laying there. Your gaze drifted to a family portrait. Two men, two women. It was a bit of a shocker when you found out Constantine wasn't the only one. He had a brother, sister, mother. All the same as him. At least he told you as much. You could hear his brother play piano downstairs. But you never understood how they had not been discovered. A knock at the door snapped you out of your thoughts.
"Y/n my dear?" The door opened to reveal the tall frame of Constantine. With a small smile, he knelt down by your bedside, kissing your head. All you could do was muster up a weak glare. His smile faltered, a frown replacing it. "Come now, don't give me that look, i know the situation isn't ideal." He gently opened your mouth, sliding his thumb over your slightly grown and sharpened fangs. "I had to give you more blood to prevent you perishing." Leaning down, he placed a gentle kiss on your throat. His cold lips chilling your skin.
"You're still not like me, but.. i can't call you human either. An in between state, if you will." That explanation didn't please you. He lifted up your upper body, hugging you to his chest. "I would let your body expel my blood on it's own, but i fear about your safety." He smirked lightly. "I could let you enjoy your humanity longer," he murmured. "We could have a family, no?" You couldn't believe him. You had known each other for months and he already wanted a family. "Vampire women are not really capably of bearing any, on account of us being largely dead. Your body would reject it," he grinned.
"Why me?" You asked. He seemed slightly surprised. "Oh? What's that?" You didn't repeat yourself. "My dear, you have shown me strength and humanity never given to me." Gently, he guided you out of your bed, hugging you to close to him. When you were safely secured in his arms, he began to hum, taking a few odd step backwards. It took you a bit to realize what he was doing;
dancing.
He gently swayed you, his smile never leaving. The piano being played served as distant noise. You calmed yourself, mimicking his footsteps. This caused the man to smile, yet this one seemed less sinister, more genuine. Unfortunately, your body caught up with you.
And you once again felt your body too weak to stand on it's own.
Constantine lifted you up in one smooth manner. "I fear you must make a choice my dear."
"But do be warned it will end up in my arms either way."
