He looked up at the tree, a name carved into a heart.
"C'mon Sam! It'll be fine!"
Sam would shift his feet, "Gah- I don't know Colbs.. What if I fall?" Colby would refuse to see the boy scared, "Don't be scared, Sammy. I have your hand." Then the two weren't scared with each other. A safe aura.
He felt his heart-breaking as tears fell.
"Hey.. Do you have a knife? This tree looks bland."
He looked up, "Yeah. Duh."
He wanted to push the tree, chop it down, and leave only the wooden heart.
"I feel safe whenever i'm with you, I don't think i'll ever get hurt around you."
That wasn't true, if it was, you wouldn't have a bullet in your chest.
He watched as the loud gunshot slammed into the love his life.
His Sam.
He wiped his eyes before placing flowers right under the tree, where Sam was buried.
"Goodbye, my love." Colby whispered as he left the weeping willow tree, the wind flowing softly, as it seemed the whisper back,
"Goodbye, Colbs."
