"Levi? Who's there?" Eleanor says with a bat in hand.
Levi forces me off of him before Eleanor could see the moment before disaster.
I step back almost losing my balance.
Eleanor peaks over Levi to see what the disturbance could be.
"Marinette?" She says in disbelief.
"Are you alright? What are you doing here?" She positions the bat sitting upside-down next to the door.
Levi steps back allowing Eleanor to take complete action.
Eleanor grabs my hand to lead me inside and sits me on the couch.
"Levi dear, can you bring her some water and a blanket, please?"
Levi stares at me confused before following the orders given to him.
I don't blame him for that stare either. I've never done this before.
Eleanor gives me comfortable clothes to change into after allowing me to drink the water.

"Here, Marinette, I tried to make it as comfortable as possible," Eleanor proudly smiles at her work.
She had covered part of the couch with soft blankets and pillows just for me.
"Oh, Eleanor, you didn't have to."

"What do you mean? Of course I did. You're my friend."
Although it shouldn't have, those words hurt. I started to cry just as I did in front of that bakery.
Levi had been hanging around the whole time and other than being worried about me he was doing it to make sure I wouldn't say anything that I shouldn't.
"I'm so sorry," I say sobbing through my tears. Eleanor grows a guilty look on her face, she thought it was her fault.
"Ellie, go get some rest. I'll take over from here don't worry." Levi interrupts.
Eleanor looks at me and back at him before nodding in agreement.
"Goodnight, Marinette." Eleanor smiles before heading to her room.
Levi doesn't make any moves until he hears the door close behind her.

He walks over to me and looks into my tear-filled eyes before wiping them dry.
"It's alright, Marinette. It's okay."
He says reassuringly.
I nod to disagree. He pulls me in for a hug and I just let him.
"Why did you make her leave?" I ask.
"Because this has nothing to do with her." He answers.
There's a long pause.
"I love you, Levi."
I freeze shocked by my own words.
"I love you too, Marinette."

The next morning welcomed me with a headache, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be.
Eleanor was making pancakes and Levi was already off to work.
My eyes widen.
"Eleanor?" I sit up.
"Yes, Marinette?" Eleanor answers focusing on the pancakes.
"Did we sleep together?"
Eleanor laughs and brings me my plate.
"No, I don't think so."

She turns on the TV and sits next to me.
"I'm sorry." She says randomly. "I'm sorry for making you cry."

I don't remember crying.
"It's fine."

"Oh and I washed your clothes. I can give you a ride when you're ready to go." Eleanor smiles.
"I'll go as soon as I finish these pancakes," I say shoving another bite of pancake into my mouth.

Eleanor drives me home, she stays a while to talk but leaves soon after.
I shower and jump into clean clothes of my own.

Knock knock

Someone bangs on the door making me jump a little. I go to answer it and see Jamie standing on the opposite side.

"What's up!" I say almost automatically.
Jamie doesn't welcome my greeting and instead takes a deep breath.
"What's wrong with you, Annette?"
I've never seen him so serious.
"Come inside." I didn't know what else to say. Jamie accepts the offer but hesitantly.
Once he makes it inside he walks in circles to calm himself.
"Marinette." He says finally. "I haven't heard from you in days I- I was worried about you."
He turns to look me in the eye.
"Well, thanks for the concern but I am a grown woman, Jamie, I can take care of myself. "

He doesn't say anything, he knows I'm right.
"I Know..."
He turns away from me again and stays that way for a few seconds.
"I like you, Marinette."
I shrug.
"So what? I like you too."
Jamie rubs both of his eyes with one hand.
"That's not what I mean. I am in love with you, Marinette. And I knew I would be from the moment you stepped into the office on your first day."
At first, I didn't realize it but now he's only a few inches away from me.
I lay my hand flat on his chest and puts his hand on top of mine.
Jamie slowly pushes through the last few inches between us and kisses me passionately.
I'm not sure if I feel anything. I'm not sure if I feel the same way.
But that doesn't make me end it. I haven't felt this desired in a long time.
