This chapter is where Y/N and Jake finally start his training. And some of Jakes human things.

(Jake Sully's POV)
After the Unknown Na'vi takes me to a place here I can get my wounds bandaged, I also changed out of my clothes and put on Native Na'vi clothes. Mostly just a cloth covering my junk, and my wounds are wrapped with plant-fiber bandages. He then takes me to a different part of the tree, on its second level, where all the clan is sitting at dinner in a large circle. Right as we walk in everyone stops talking and glances at me, this is mildly uncomfortable honestly. I see the blue man start to leave, and I watch him go to the center, or cook pit, and come back with large leaves filled with food. He proceeds to set down the leaves and sits down beside me. I then remind him "You never told me your name."

He looks over to me for a minute then proceeds "Y/N te Ckaha Eytukan'itan." I blink at him "Say that again.. But slower?" He inhales and rolls his eyes "Y/N. Y-/-N" he nods his head annoyed. He's fucking baiting me, all I do is smile and say "Y-/-N.. That's Nice. Y/N" he then motions for me to take some of the food from the serving leave onto my own and I start doing so while stating "Your mom likes me. I can tell" he just rolls his eyes again and starts taking some food for himself. I taste some shrimp looking thing and they are actually pretty good, I look back over to Y/N "These are amazing, what are they?" He looks back up and answers "Teylu. You call beetle larvae." Suddenly Y/N puts more of it onto my leave, a challenge, I then take a handful and stuff it into my mouth and starts munching. "That's some damn fine teylu. That's like grandmas."

After dinner, Y/N takes me to the third level of the tree. Where everyone sleeps, he jumps into one of the woven hammocks and I follow suit going into the one next to him, facing him. He stares at me for a second, then touches one side of the hammock, making it close while turning away from me. I do the same thing, but I'm still facing him when I go to sleep.

(Imma skip everything that happens when he's human because who wants to read that honestly, I also don't want to write it. But I will do this part)

After I tell everyone what happened last night, Grace, Norm and I started heading to my pod for me to go back. But on the way Grace has me name everyone. In a way a flash card drill. "Okay, let's run through them again." She pulls up a picture of Y/N's Mother "Mo'at," and after a second I add "Dragon lady." Grace then shows the father "Eytucan." I say and almost immediately Grace corrects me "Eytukan. He's the clan leader. Though, Mo'at is the spiritual leader, kinda like a Shaman" I nod. She pulls up the next picture "Tsu'tey." I say and jump onto the pod, "He'll be the next clan leader," next one "Neytiri." I say "Good Jake, last one" she pulls up the last picture, I look at it for a second and take the screen from her "Y/N." I say starring at the picture of him. "He'll be the next Tsahik. Him and Tsu'tey are mated pairs" (we're gonna make that work! Sorry yall.) I stare at her for a minute 'mated pairs? What the hell' "well then, who's this Eywa?" Norm then cuts in shocked "Who's Eywa?" He stops for a second waiting for me to turn to him "Only their deity. Their goddess, made up of all living this. You would know this if you had any type of training whatsoever." I immediately come back with "Who's got a date with the chiefs son?" With a smug smile on my face. Norm cringes and says "Oh come on, that's-" before getting cut off by Grace "All right. Stop it. The village life starts early." I lay down on the surprisingly soft mush of the pod, "Don't do anything unusually stupid" I smile and bring down the pod, closing my eyes, ready to go.

I wake back up in my Avatar body, starring up into the home tree. I get out of my hammock and start walking around the tree, seeing the clan doing there normal tasks. Men cleaning the fish they caught, a young mother pounds seeds into a meal, while nursing an infant. Honestly the Natives are pretty amazing. I look over to see Y/N riding in on a direhorse. I stare at him and he grins "Your first training. Bonding a direhorse and riding it"

(Y/N's POV)

I lead Jake to a place I can help him with a direhorse. I put my hands on the direhorses snot and rub it to ease it a little bit. "Easy boy." Jake says and I look at him "Pale is a girl" my voice annoyed, "okay. Easy girl." Jake then jumps onto the direhorse and I say comforting things in Na'vi to it. I then give Jake one of its antennae's and he connects his hair and it together. Immediately, the mares eyes go wide, and Jakes eyes also go wide and his jaw drops. I look up at him and say "That is shahalyu. The bond," I pat the side of the horse then continue "Feel her," I stay quiet for a second so Jake can get the feel of the bond then add "Feel her heartbeat. Her breath," the mare is breathing nicely and Jake is starting to get more used to it by now "Feel her strong legs," Jake smiles while I say "You may tell her what to do, inside." While tapping the side of my head a little. I step back alittle bit "For now, say where to go." I bring out my hand as if saying 'go ahead'

After Jake gets all comfortable, he also brings out his hand while saying "Forward" the mare starts moving, but faster than Jake would have liked and he couldn't hold on strong enough before he fell off, right into mud. I smile and start laughing, the horse starts running away so I go to get it. Leaving Jake alone for a minute.

(Jake Sully's POV)

God, I didn't know this would be this hard. I stand back up, not long after Y/N comes back with the mare. "Again." Ugh shit..
needless to say, I fell off the mare more times that I could count, each time getting more and more painful. Honestly this whole time I feel like I'm being watched... oh well. Before the horse could run Y/N caught it. Now he's petting its snot, saying things in Na'vi. While I'm still on the ground, in the mud. Tsu'tey comes from across a river and stops right next to Y/N and I. He does the I see you gesture to Y/N, Norm told me what the gesture was. Y/N does it back while holding the direhorse. Then, Tsu'tey looks down at me and says "You should go away." And while I stand up I look at Y/N and say "I knew this guy could speak English" he looks at Y/N and says some stuff to him in Na'vi "This nìwotx will txing set. A rock sees skxawng." (Translate: This alien will learn nothing. A rock sees more) He rolls his eyes, and Y/N sighs but he hits Tsu'tey's horse saying "Go" and him and another clan member ride off into the woods. He looks back at me and says "Again." Sigh let's do this.

~In the OPS. CENTER~
I'm sat around a table with colonel, selfridge and some engineers and officers. We are all sat around a diagram of the hometree while I talk them through the general inner structure of the tree. While I have my hand circling the inside of the tree diagram I say "There's outer columns, then a secondary ring there, and to end an inner ring" then I pause for a minute, looking at everyone, then I take my hand and move my hand up while doing little circles, "The core structure though, it's like a spiral. It's how they get up and down." I then set down my hand on the railing looking at the tree, then see Quaritch walk up to me and informed "I'm toning to need accurate scans of the whole tree." I look up at him and nod. "Got it."

Grace says we are going to move to a different mobile link in the local mountains, Norm seems to be excited about it. But he's excited about fucking everything.

Soon we make it to the mountains, you can't see anything here. After a few long minutes of being absolutely blinded, we see the actual mountains and holy god.. they're amazing. They're so fucking beautiful, no one really sees the beauty in this planet. Norm looks so amazed, it's funny.

He walk into the mobile station and Grace tells me that my link is at the end of the row. After we get settled in the station I roll over to my link and get into it. Ready for the next training section with Y/N...
