As soon as Auden arrived at the office that morning, Brigid had inquired about the stains on her sweater, but the pair were interrupted by Auden's boss, Charles, upon her arrival. After their short conversation, Brigid had given Auden a string of last-minute party planning tasks to achieve. In the hecticness of planning, Auden quickly forgot about her encounter with Cillian Murphy, and it was probably for the best. It certainly was not one of her proudest moments.

The following morning went much more smoothly for Auden. On her way in, she thought about stopping into the cafe to grab coffee, before remembering that Cillian had mentioned to the barista he would be in the next morning. The thought of seeing him again filled her with jitters and embarrassment, so she opted to go somewhere else for coffee.

When she got to work, her co-workers were buzzing about the banquet, and she couldn't help but feel a little pride in pulling the logistics of it off. All she had to do was get through the event and her thank-you speech. Auden spent half the day preparing what she would say to the donors and the other half of the day colluding with Brigid regarding their outfits. It wasn't until the Auden checked her watch that she noticed how quickly her day had gone.

Auden returned to her small studio apartment (or flat, as it was known in Dublin) to change into her dress. Auden went with a silver dress that rested just above her knees, and the sides hugged her waist slightly. She paired it with some tights as the autumn chill settled in and black boots. She had pulled her auburn hair into a low bun so that her silver hoops would peek through loose strands of her hair.

She arrived early to ensure that the caterers and waiters were there to perform their duties. The last thing she needed was a crowd of hungry, sober guests. Brigid arrived shortly after Auden, giddy with excitement.

"I've been to so many of these, but I always love the opportunity to get close to rich men." she giggled, causing Auden to roll her eyes. Brigid had a sloppy way with men, often dating ones much older and richer than her, and failing miserably. But Auden applauded her effort nonetheless.

"Please behave yourself. The last thing I need is you making out with a donor in front of Charles," Auden sighed. Charles was Auden's boss, and therefore watching her every move tonight for her first event.
