Two Weeks Later:

"Why'd you do it, Leon?" he asked, looking me dead in the eye. "Why'd you let it happen?"

I looked at the ground, but he was everywhere. "You can't run away and hide from me as you do with everything. Tell me, why did you do it?"

"I don't know."

"You could've helped, you could've jumped in, you're the only one trained in shark diving."

He was right. It was my fault. "You killed me, Leon."

I got up with a gasp, my body drenched in sweat. This was the fifth time I got this dream in the last two weeks.

It's always the same. Hiram walks over to me by the shore and blames me for his death. And he's right. I could have easily jumped into the water and saved him, but I acted like a coward.

I'm not a good person.

"Leon? Are you okay?" I heard a quiet voice outside my room. I recognized it as Lilly's. "May I come in?"

I couldn't form a coherent response, still very shaken up. So, I got up and shakily walked over to the door and opened it, revealing a worried-looking Lilly.

"I was just walking downstairs to get some water and I heard you gasp, are you okay? Should I wake up Riley or Ryan?"

I shook my head quickly. I didn't want to talk about it with anyone. "I'm fine," I croaked, my voice sounding strained to my own ears.

"And I'm the Queen of England," she said, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Just a bad dream, I'll be okay," I said, sliding my hand over my face.

"Wanna come down and drink some water? You look very shaken," she said, concern clear in her voice.

I nodded and followed her downstairs, facing the ground.
