It's been a month since Leon lost all his friends. I couldn't come up with a way to turn his family against him, that Adamos family bond was too strong.

I would see Leon every now and then walking like a lifeless shell of himself, it satisfied me. That's exactly what he made me back in June when he ruined everything with Carlos.

Heath was also very happy. Leon had found his Arizona girlfriend and told her everything, showing her receipts, causing her to dump him.

"I don't think that was the right thing to do, Laura," Jade said. "I think you should tell Riley the truth. She doesn't deserve any of this."

Jade is too nice for this world.

"I'm not telling her anything. Leon deserves to suffer just like I did."

"Does he? From what I understand, he was under the impression you guys were dating, and he saw you with his family's number one competitor. I would've freaked out as well," she said. "I love you to death, Laurz, but this is completely your fault for leading him on."

I stayed quiet. I hated being wrong.

I hate to admit it, but Jade was right. It was definitely my fault, but that didn't mean that I'm gonna fly to Miami and tell Riley the truth.

I don't like her, either. Leon would have been oblivious to everything if it weren't for her smartass brain.

"You have to do what's right, Laura," Jade said, getting up from the couch. "I'm going to work, see you later."

I sighed and nodded, saying goodbye to her.

After Jade left, I made my way to the kitchen and decided to make some oatmeal. I added oats and some almond milk to a bowl and put them in the microwave for a minute.
