Just a little note to let you know that this story has been created as part of the Open Novella Contest 2023.
Don't know what the Open Novella Contest is? In a short summary; writers chose from a list of prompts and have 12 weeks to write a story between 20,000 and 40,000 words. There are three rounds, the aim is obviously to make it to the last round!
