over the next few days, talia spent it with either neteyam or lo'ak learning the na'vi way, she felt like she was truly understanding the beauty around her from her never ending learning.
along with learning about the omaticaya way, talia had been navigating her confusing feelings. somewhat. she'd flirt with both brothers, separately, then watch them argue over who had a better time with her. she enjoyed it, finally experiencing the opposite of a lonely life that she'd felt for years before. now, her life held meaning and she yearned for more.
according to neteyam, talia's training was going rather smoothly. she was a great student, therefore her work has been paying off. she's been consistent on the bow and arrow, a balanced pa'li rider and a fast learner.
lo'ak on the other hand tells talia she needs as much practice as she can, keeping her out for lessons all hours of the day- his own selfish plan. but it's been working. although the girl was a diligent student in the weaponry and skills department, somehow she wasn't comprehending the language fast enough for the sully boy's liking.
to make him happy, talia let's him keep her in the forest to perfect her words and articulation. she doesn't mind one bit, except for she doesn't see neteyam often those days.
talia would never compare the two boys in a harmful way, but she can't help but notice some differences in their affection towards her. neteyam is gentler, calmer and more patient. he doesn't really care if his soft side shows through.
and lo'ak likes to put on a facade, one where he's impulsive and brash, constantly making jokes to deter his feelings. talia doesn't mind it most of the time, but she knows that's not his true self. through little cracks and moments, she can tell he truly a kind boy with a sympathetic aura, always the first to lend a hand and desire to help others. that's also the reason he ends himself in trouble half the time- trying to prove himself when it's not necessary.
talia went through each moment spent alone with either sully brother in mind, replaying any soft or lingering touches that sent chills down her spine. and if she was being honest, an unknown, tingly feeling would occur from her lower region. because she was able to study human biology, she had an idea of what caused it. but the problem was figuring out how to make it go away.
in the middle of her thoughts, someone ran into her legs as she sat outside the sully tent. she glanced up, seeing their youngest family member. "hi! want to paint with me?"
talia nodded eagerly, bored of having the morning off of training. jake insisted on his sons joining in on a meeting with the warriors, where they would eventually end up one day.
"of course, tuk! lead the way." she stood and followed the skipping na'vi girl, who held her hand the entire way. they walked to a hut with a few other children doing their own arts and crafts under the supervision of an elder woman.
