Chapter 5 "A Favor to ask"

Inie POV

As my sister and cousin were busy talking with Thatch and Marco it leaves me and Ace to talk

He kept on eating and so did I, he doesn't stop at nothing doesnt he??

I chuckled and kept on eating until Ace suddenly talked

"Hey you got less food on your plate aren't you gonna grab some more??" Ace grew concerned and tilted his head

I Shaked my head and told him it's fine but he insisted on sharing his food with me

"Hey! Quit making moves on the lady Ace she clearly isn't into you!"

Thatch yelled as everyone laughed including Pops

"Gurararara! So it seems that Ace has taken a liking to our new crew member"

Ace's face suddenly turned bright red and yelled back

"Shut up you morons! I wasn't making a move on her! Just concerned that she doesn't eat many!"

"Yeah uh-huh sure Ace, you know you never did like to share your food with anyone else-yoi~"

When Marco pointed it out everyone started to look at Ace as he kept on growing redder every minute and everyone started to laugh

"Whoa! Looks like someone is having a little crush~"

"You're so straight forward Ace!!"

Everyone started to tease him and he went on full fire LITERALLY he is on fire!

"H-Hey Ace! Calm down let's go outside for a moment before you catch this place on fire!"

I grabbed his arm and pulled him outside surprisingly he followed along

Y/N POV

"That guy ..he always had trouble of expressing his feelings-yoi, I hope Inie can get him to open up"

Marco stated staring to the door where Inie and Ace went off to

I hummed and nodded in agreement

"Yeah...but don't worry Inie is a kind and energetic girl I'm sure she can keep up with him" Marco laughed and looked at me

"You three seem pretty close huh" I smiled and nodded

"I treat them like my own little sisters we have been best friends since these two were inside their mommy's Belly"

"I'm kinda jealous of you three, always together and never leaves anyone behind-yoi"

As Marco and I talked for a short while I felt Xynie tapping my shoulder and whispered

"Thatch and I will be at the kitchen Coz, I'll watch over him right now"

I nodded and mumbled "be careful" as I hugged her, she then went on to follow Thatch to the kitchen

"Hey! Thatch where ya going-yoi?"

Marco asked and Thatch replied back
"Xynie asked me to teach her how to cook if you want more food they're all at the counter"

Just as the two of them went inside I took a deep breath and finally spoke up

"Hey Marco??....I have a request if you don't mind?"

He looked and me and gestured me to continue on

"Will you ...train us to get stronger?"

Marco was taken off gaurd and started to laugh patting my head

"I didn't expect you to ask that kind of request-Yoi, but sure if you really want to get stronger but what for?"

I looked down readied myself and took a deep breath then exhaled looked into Marco's eyes full of determination

"I don't want to be a burden here to you guys and..If ever there is a time in need I'll help out! I hate being a damsel in distress and growing stronger means I'll get to fight beside you guys right??"

And for the fact that we really want Thatch, Ace and Pops to live..

Getting stronger means they will be secured and safe away from death

Marco stared into my eyes for a short moment before thinking then finally sighed and chuckled giving up

"Alright fine you seemed to have a strong will and that rarely happens here-yoi"

He grinned and patted my head once again making my face turn a little bit red

"We will start tomorrow-yoi, you up for that??"

I grinned and nodded my head in excitement "Sure am! thanks a lot Marco!" I couldn't help my excitement and hugged him tightly again before running towards the door outside

Marco POV

Once again I did not expected her to hug me like that out of no where

While she went running straight to the door outside I can feel my cheeks all heated up as I covered my entire face with my hand

"Ohh~? Is that a blush I see on your face Marco~??" Izou smirked and chuckled teasingly

I sighed and walked upstairs
"I'm going to bed-yoi tell Y/N we will start tomorrow"

Izou nodded and brought his drink up smirking towards me teasingly

"Sure no problem lover boy~"

I'll pretend I didn't hear that ...

Ace POV

I was about to burst from anger earlier but thanks to Inie for pulling me out here to cool my head off I didn't burn the ship down

We both sat down at the railing of the ship in a comfortable silence for a few minutes before she spoke up

"Hey Ace?....I have a favor to ask"

I looked towards her and hummed in response "yeah sure what's up?"

She looked at my eyes filled with determination...as if she has a mission that she wanted to accomplish

Not gonna lie...she looks .. beautiful especially her eyes shining brightly under the moonlight- WAIT! Ace snap out of it!

She was about to ask a favor stop getting distracted!!

"Uhm...Ace?? Hello? Are you about to faint again??" Inie chuckling led me to snap back to reality I didn't even noticed how red my face is

"Huh?- oh uhm...N-No I'm not! Haha anyways what was it that you asked??" I awkwardly rubbed the back of my head as Inie laughed and poked my nose

"I was asking if you could train me?? Even if it's only a hand in hand combat fighting style I'm alright with it"

I didn't expected her to ask that kind of request I was suspicious at first until I realized how serious she was

"If you're not available it's alright I can just ask Izou or Marco to train me"

"N-No! I'll train you so no need to ask them!"

God damn it why did I stutter like that?! As If I didn't want Izou or Marco to train her....

Wait ...why did I wanna train her again??

I sighed and chuckled

"S-So no worries I can help you out with hand to hand combat"

Just then I saw her giggle and poke my nose once more smiling innocently and walked back inside

"Thank you Ace, I'll see you in the morning"

"Y-Yeah...See ya Inie"

Damn it ......Why am I acting like am Idiot around her??.....
