"Oh? If it isn't Simon... This really is going to be one hell of a show," Gary laughed again, and you could hear another crash sound right above you.
"What? Who's Simon?" you thought to yourself before your radio started picking up a signal.
"____, this is Ghost. What's your situation?" you never grabbed something so fast in your life.
"GHOST SDSFSGFA" you whisper-yelled, the last part was incomprehensible.
"Are you here too??? Is Soap with you?" you quickly asked."Yes. Where are you? And Alejandro?" he responded.
"Alejandro is injured and unconscious, I hid him in a room on the ground floor. I'm on B1" There was a short pause on his side.
"... And Louis? He's with you, isn't he? He said he will be accompanying you." you didn't have to reply to that as Louis's loud shriek was more than enough to tell him what happened. There was another crash, but it was much louder and closer than the one before.
You put the radio aside and went to one of the rooms to search for both Gary and the deactivation button or lever or whatever.
"He is... But," you sighed. "He was injected with something when we were fighting one of Gary's men. Gary said it was some sort of a hyperactive virus. I don't know how long it will take him before he comes back,"
Another loud crash, much closer than the one before it. Some dust fell on your shoulders from how strong this one was.
"He might not. Be prepared to shoot him if you have to ____," Ghost said firmly. As if Louis was just another trafficker. Or something to hunt.
"What the fuck do you mean by that? He's our friend. He saved both of us and now you tell me I have to kill him??" you felt your voice shake.
"He can't die. You can. How do you think he will take it if he kills you when he comes to his senses? This isn't the time to act like a fucking brat," he snapped at you, his voice echoing in the room. You could hear Soap in the background telling him to calm down before he took the radio from him.
"____, you said you were on B1. Where exactly are you?" Soap questioned.
"I don't know. I don't have a map, but I'm somewhere near an endless bit. I got here using a ladder," you tried to be as descriptive as possible.
"We have a map. I will guide you through the building so listen closely,"
Nothing
"____?"
Nothing
The radio was on the ground, with you stuck under the debris of the ceiling that just fell down. You coughed as the dust got into your lungs.
"What the fuck??" you hissed as you tried to move your body. The entire room was covered in dust and you couldn't see anything.
"Shit..." you grabbed on the table foot in front of you and dragged yourself out. The skin on your leg peeling off in the progress. You bit your lip in pain as you tried to muffle your screams and went to where the radio was thrown.
"____? ____ what happened?" you could hear Soap's worried voice through the radio. You were about to reply when you noticed the shadow standing on top of the fallen debris.
Louis was glaring at you from atop, gritting his teeth at you as he jumped down and made his way to you. Each step is faster than the one before. You felt your heart drumming in your chest as he got closer and closer to you.
Is there really no other way...? Is this the end? But Gary was still alive. It felt like the world slowed down as your heart was pounding against your chest. You can't take on Louis, not with your injury.
"Even if they don't kill me, injuries hurt much more and can still slow me down," You could hear his voice in your head as your life started flashing in front of you.
"I'm sorry..." you mumbled as you hung your head low, and Louis slowed down for a moment.
"Run," he managed to breathe out. But you couldn't, not with your stupid leg. You grabbed the gun and with shaky hands and teary eyes, you shot him in the leg. Making him stumble and fall as he groaned in pain.
You put your arm against the table surface and dragged yourself up. You had to get out before he recovered, and you knew he recovered quickly. You had a couple of minutes at most.
"Soap," you whimpered as you staggered out of the room.
"____! What happened?" he was frantic, but you didn't answer his question.
"Tell me where to go. Quickly!" you hissed as you accidentally kicked one of the iron bars sticking out. Louis's shrieks echoed on the floor, and you knew he was up now. Probably furious too.
"Go to the electricity room southwest from where the ladder was. It should be labelled and easy to find. Once you are in, turn on the elevator so we could have easier access to the floors," he responded.
"Electricity room, southwest. Got it," you took off your jacket and wrapped it around your leg to stop the bleeding before you made your way as fast as you could to the electricity room.
Louis was still trying to find you in the room he lost you in, and it won't be long before he follows you through the blood trail you involuntarily left. It was a good thing that dust filled the room, it gave you some time to act.
"Come on, come on." you pushed against the door as soon as you reached the room, almost falling face-flat on the floor, but you managed to catch yourself in time.
The elevator was inside the electricity room. Although it was out of service, the lever to turn it on was placed right next to it in a box. You looked behind you as a loud crash pierced through your ears to see Louis coming out of the room, his eyes fell on the blood trail before they met yours, and he shrieked so loudly as he dashed to where you were.
You grabbed the lever and pulled it down before quickly retrieving your hand. Louis's fist missed it by a hair as he smashed the box. The elevator was turned on, but now you were double fucked. He swung his other hand at you, the one with an iron bar still attached to it, and you ducked your head as it made contact with the wall behind you.
If you were even a second later with your reaction, he would have had your head in that iron rod.
You took the chance and kicked his leg, making him fall once again before crawling underneath the table and running into the elevator. You quickly pressed a random button and watched as Louis tried to get you again. Failing this time as the elevator closed before he could reach you.
You let out a sigh before grabbing your radio.
"Soap, the elevator is running. What now?"
