"i've got to go down to brum for work," groaned lorelai to haley on the phone whilst it was on speaker. she has been scrambling around her apartment trying to pack.
"i hate your job," mumbled haley. "it's always getting in the way."
"i'll be back quick and then we can do what you wanted," said lorelai. "if your sitting around doing nothing, you can come to mine and help me."
"fine i'll be round in a bit," said haley before cutting off the phone.

lorelais phone had been blowing up since during her drive down to birmingham however she couldn't even look whilst she was driving. she had tried to call haley but she wasn't picking up.
when she got to birmingham, she was straight away put to work at st andrews, reporting at the game which was happening later on.
she quickly took some time off as a break to quickly figure out what was going on. knowing that haley hadn't called back, she called blakely knowing she would know.
