It feels nice to be in bed after a long day .as I close my eyes trying to fall asleep. I hear the sound of water . I can hear water splash. Am I hallucinating it .I ignore the sound and try to sleep .it gets louder .
My body starts to tremble as I realize it's actually happening.
The noise is coming from bathroom. Did i leave the tap open but I had never done that before as I am extremely cautious while handling water .
I walk towards the bathroom slowly and held onto the door handle thinking whether it's a good idea or not .
It took every ounce of my courage to open that damn bathroom door .
My legs gave up once I open the door .I still hold onto the handle for support
"Hello there pearl ,nice to meet you "a man's voice said

I realized he is shirtless .
"WHAT THE HELL ARE DOING IN MY BATHTUB AnD WHy ARE YOU NAKED?"I screamed
He looked me puzzled.
I saw a tail .A FREAKING TAIL .A silver tail which is the exact shade that of his hair .which shines differently at different angle . I can't believe what I am seeing, am I that tired that I am imagining stuff .or this is just a dream .yes this is just a dream .
"Pearl ,did you get baffled by my beauty ? By the way .why do you live among humans. Doesn't your skin get itchy if you stay away from water for long ?"he said .what is he even saying i don't understand .he came out of water
His tail transformed into legs . He is standing completely naked. He starts walking towards me "STAY WHERE YOU ARE .DON'T COME CLOSE TO ME" I screamed .as I covered by eyes
"My mate is shy type I didn't know. Wait a second I will wear some clothes "he said
What does he mean by my mate .
"You can open your eyes now " he said
I opened my eyes .he is looking into my eyes smiling.
"Why aren't you happy looking at me "he said
"Why am I supposed to be happy looking at you " I ask
"Cause your mate is crowned prince of white pearl kingdom"he said
I stare at him .what is he trying to say
"So are you a mermaid "I ask
"In the name of holy octopus I am a male so I am merman .don't you even know that you being yourself a mermaid "he said
"I am a human for God's sake "I said being frustrated
"No mermen are mated with humans . You are a mermaid for sure. I feel attracted towards you. I know you fell it too ."he said as he walks close to me and caresses my cheeks. I couldnt breath .
"No I don't feel attracted to you .and I am human not a freaking mermaid "I said
"Why do you keep denying who you are ,pearl ?"he asked.
Why is he so adamant on that .
"Why are you so sure that I am your mate "I ask
"I heard your callings "he said
"My callings ?"I ask
"Only mates can hear each other's callings "he said
"But I didn't hear yours ,you must have mistaken me for someone else "I said
"When is the last time you have been in water " he asks
"I Don't know. Probably 15 years " said
"What 15 years , are you serious .no wonder you have gotten so weak you can't even hear your mates callings "he said and stopped caressing my cheeks .he removes the strand of my hair from my face and tucked it behind my ear .
Why am I not stopping him .
"You are beautiful "he said .my heart skipped a beat .
He starts to lean towards my face. Don't tell me he is going to kiss me . I push him away with so much difficulty.
My breath gets shallow.
"How dare you push me away .I am your mate" he said
"I am not your mate .nor am I a mermaid .I am a human .in which language will you understand that "I said with angre
He walks towards me and lifts me up bridal style
"What are you doing? Put me down"i said
"Do you want me to give you a proof that you are a mermaid "he said . I just look into his eyes .
He walks towards the bathtub filled with water .
"Don't you dare throw me in the water" I said
"But that's the only way to check whether you are mermaid or not "he said .I hold onto him tight not wanting to fall into water.i feel his grip loosing.

JIMIN POV
How can a mermaid don't know that she is a mermaid. Does she not like me or what.
As I was about to put her in bathtub. I felt her tight grip lossen . I look at her face .she is sweating profusely .
"Pearl "I call out
She doesn't respond
Did she just pass out in my arms
I carry her out of the bathroom and lay her on her bed and cover her in blanket.
I stare at her face trying to understand what just happened. Is she scared of water that much at she passed out in my arms .
How can a mermaid be scared of water .its like humans being scared of air .snails being scared of its shell .tree being scared of soil .ant being scared of sugar .
Anyway She indeed is beautiful. I am lucky to have her as my mate .I can't wait to have beautiful babies together.
"You don't know how long I have waited for you ".I said and pressed my lips on her forehead .and laid next to her .I get closer to her and inhale her scent .she smells like ocean but it's faint. Humans don't smell like ocean . What made her so scared of water .she is even detached from her own kind .I need to make her love water again .make her realize her true self .its gonna be tough but what's point in having everything easy .
What I am supposed to do now .I feel so hungry. Let's check what's there in the kitchen for me to eat .
