Nikolai woke up and stretched, taking a deep breath in. The light was filtering in through the window, casting a warm glow on the room. He smiled as he looked over at Fyodor, who was still asleep. Nikolai gently brushed a few strands of hair out of his face before getting up to take a shower.

The warm water felt good on his skin, and he let out a sigh of contentment. Nikolai closed his eyes and leaned against the wall, letting the water wash over him. After a few minutes, he reluctantly got out and got dressed, not wanting to wake Fyodor up just yet.

He sat down on the edge of the bed and watched the other man sleep for a moment. Nikolai couldn't help but feel grateful that he had found someone like Fyodor. He never would have thought that he could be so happy, but here he was.

Eventually, Fyodor started to stir, and Nikolai leaned over to give him a gentle kiss. 'Good morning,' he said.

'Morning,' Fyodor murmured, stretching. 'I'm guessing you've already been up for a while?'

'Yeah, I took a shower,' Nikolai replied.

Fyodor nodded and got out of bed. He wrapped his arms around Nikolai from behind and kissed his neck. 'I'm going to take one too,' he said.

Nikolai hummed in agreement and turned to watch Fyodor walk into the bathroom. He couldn't help but admire the other man's body. He really was lucky.

A few minutes later, Fyodor came out of the bathroom and Nikolai stood up to give him a hug. 'I love you Fedya.' he said.

'I love you to, Kolya' Fyodor replied, smiling.

Fyodor hummed to himself as he buttoned his shirt, glancing in the mirror to make sure it looked just right. He adjusted his coat and turned to face Nikolai, who was watching him with a bemused expression.

'What?' Fyodor asked, raising an eyebrow.

'Nothing,' Nikolai said, shaking his head. 'It's just...I've never seen you so dressed up before.'

'What, you've never seen me in a coat?' Fyodor teased.

'No, I have,' Nikolai said. 'It's just...you look different.'

Fyodor grinned. 'I know,' he said. 'I'm fabulous.'

Nikolai laughed, and then he hesitated, as if he was considering something. 'Hey, um, Fedya...do you want to go to the fair with me?'

'The fair?' Fyodor repeated, cocking his head to the side.

'Yeah,' Nikolai said, looking slightly nervous. 'I thought it might be fun.'

Fyodor considered it for a moment, and then he nodded. 'Sure,' he said. 'I'd love to.'

Nikolai smiled, looking relieved. 'Great!' he said. 'We'll go at seven?'

'Seven it is,' Fyodor said, returning his smile.

He watched Nikolai leave, still feeling a little giddy from the sudden turn of events. He had never thought Nikolai would ask him to go to a fair, but he was glad he had.

The fair was even more fun than he had anticipated, and he found himself laughing and joking with Nikolai all night. He wasn't sure what was going to happen next, but he was definitely looking forward to finding out.

The sun had long since set by the time Fyodor and Nikolai left the fair. They had walked around all day, looking at the different stalls and games. Nikolai had even won a small stuffed animal at one of the shooting galleries. Now, they were making their way back to Fyodor's house, the small animal tucked under Nikolai's arm.

'That was a lot of fun,' Nikolai said as they walked. 'I'm glad we went.'

'Me too,' Fyodor replied.

'I had so much fun at the fair, thank you for going with me,' said Nikolai as he and Fyodor walked into their house.

'I'm glad I went with you, I enjoyed it,' said Fyodor, they sat down on the couch and Nikolai put his head on Fyodor's shoulder. 'It's so nice to be able to relax with you,' said Nikolai.

'I know, I feel the same way,' said Fyodor as he kissed Nikolai on the forehead. They sat there for a while, just enjoying each other's company, before finally falling asleep.
