I was breathing the sea air. I could smell the salt of the water entering my nostrils and filling my lungs. It was an enjoyable feeling.

I had left my husband to rest in the cabins. I decided to enjoy this small moment of peace before the fight of our lives.

We needed to reach land before the wall titans. The issue was that we could not start the aircraft from the harbour (and we would not get enough gas to run it either). Our only option was to start it on the mainland. But we were not sure to arrive on time before it would be completely stepped on by Eren's army of titans.

I sighed when I saw Armin talking to Annie on the deck. I also saw earlier the two kids who got Sasha killed.

I could not believe we were teaming up with them, but the facts were that we had no choice. Plus, the blond kid, Falco, turned out to be the Jaw Titan.

"The General Magath died I guess..." I whispered to myself.

The man decided to stay behind to give us the time to flee.

Moreover, the Azumabito clan was ready to help us start the plane, but they would stay on the sea to avoid getting stepped on by huge monsters. They already accepted the fate of their country. It was done for.

I turned to look at Mikasa. She was looking at the sky, pensive. The love of her life had decided to destroy the world. And she decided to stop him, even if it meant killing him.

She was a young and beautiful lady. She was also brave and strong, thoughtful and just. I admired her for that.

"We are close to the mainland. It seems that Eren did not get there yet." Hange said to me.

I nodded. We would not have much time.

One last meeting occurred. The plan was to fly above Eren's Original Titan and to stop him by any means necessary. Even if it meant ending his life.

Annie decided to stay behind, she had no more will to fight in her.

She had asked for my forgiveness, but I could not give it to her. She took the life of my best friend, of my family. It was impossible for me.

Thanks to his Ackerman gene, my husband was okay to fight. I was worried he would tire himself to death but I also knew how strong and powerful he was.

Then our trip and peace came to an end. We had reached the mainland.

We all left the ship and we started to get moving. The Azumabito engineers started working on the plane while we were putting gas in it.

I was filling the tank when suddenly, two bullets landed in it, next to my head. I froze for a second, shocked but then I turned around and saw who had shot. It was Floch. I thought he had been taken down by Gaby before leaving Paradis Island.

He was badly injured and probably used his remaining strength to fire those shots.

"You can't... stop Eren. He is doing... this for Eldia..." Floch difficulty articulated.

He collapsed on the ground. He was going to die for sure. His determination and his loyalty to Eren would have killed him sooner or later. There was nothing we could do.

"The tank is leaking!" an Azumabito engineer exclaimed.

"Can you fix it?" my husband asked.

"Yes but it will take at least 45 more minutes..."
