James and Sirius had dinner with the Lupins. once they had their food, Remus got out of the house for little walk, followed by James.

"answer me, prongs. do you still love Lily?" Remus asked to which James chuckled and rubbed the nape of his neck.

"how can I not love her, mate? it's just that... it really hurts when I realize that this feelings are only one sided. I'm a bully, a trickster, an arrogant jerk and what not? all the bad traits are in me. how can I expect a girl like Lily to fall in love with me?" James asked, feeling his eyes tearing up.

"prongs, you're n--" James gave him a look as Remus just shrugged. " Fine, yeah you're a bully,a trickster, an arrogant jerk and what not. but not everybody is perfect, Mate. You can see that nowadays she's talking frequently with you. it's a good sign, right?" Remus said, trying to cheer up his best mate's spirit.

"you really think that?" James asked with a smile as Remus nodded her head.

"I solemnly sear that--"

"I'm up to no good" James finished Remus's sentence as the two best friends laughed.

"and mate... did you notice Sirius nowadays?" Remus asked clearing his throat.

"yeah, he's spending quality time, I mean most of the time with our Ruby" James said, narrowing his eyes inside as he saw Ruby slapping Sirius through the glass window.

"thank god I'm not the only one that felt this" Remus sighed in relief as looked at the duo.

"I was not jealous!" Ruby exclaimed as she slapped his arm to which Sirius smirked in a teasing way.

"stop smirking, you dog!" she snapped.

"make me" Sirius whispered in husky tone.

"stop it, Sirius... Remus must be watching us" Ruby muttered nervously as she looked at the glass window to see her brother glaring at Sirius and her as well. "he is watching us" she confirmed as Sirius immediately moved a little away from her.

"Well then, it was nice talking to you, Ruba. I'm gonna head out and catch up with the boys" Sirius said as he winked at her secretly which made Ruby's cheeks to get flushed.

"I'm too joining you!" Ruby exclaimed as she and Sirius walked out of the house.

"Hello, my wonderful bestmates!" Sirius greeted them with a wide grin as James and Remus chuckled in his dramatics.

"Let me introduce you guys to, Sebastian!" Ruby said excitedly as she whistled.

"Sebastian who?" James asked with confusion.

"It's our dog. Mom and dad brought it. He's very much fond of Ruby" Remus said with an eye roll. Sirius maintained a straight face but inside, he was cursing the poor dog.

From far, a black dog ran and hopped on Ruby as she fell on the ground with laughter.

"Guys, this Sebastian and Sebastian, that's James and Sirius" Ruby introduced as the black dog barked at James by wiggling his tail.

"He likes you!" Ruby exclaimed.

"Huh, who am I kidding? Even dogs feel attracted towards me, be careful padfoot" James said with a smirk.

"Ha ha, very funny" Sirius said blankly and glared at the dog. Sebastian's gaze flickered to Sirius as he stopped wiggling his tail and barked harshly at the boy.

"Yeah yeah, bark all you can" Sirius hissed. But Ruba is mine, not yours. He grinned at his thoughts and stuck his tongue out childishly.

"Piss off, drama queen" Ruby teased as she kissed Sebastian's lips, eyeing Sirius secretly who was boiling with anger and jealousy.

"That could be infectious, you know? Kissing dogs on their lips" Sirius stated as a matter of fact.

"Mr Clean-git, Sebastian takes shower twice a day, unlike you who's lazy to even bath for once " Remus too joined in teasing as Sirius scoffed in disbelief.

"How could you,Moony?!' he exclaimed dramatically as the dog barked once again at Sirius.

"STOP BARKING, MY LONG LOST SIBLING!"

The reason why I republished few chapters is because I forgot to update three chapters in the mid. (Sheepish smile)
