Kai's POV

The day after our Christmas party, all of us had brunch together in the dining room. As we ate, we all rambled on about random stuff. None of us mentioned Sally's crush on Bentho, though, because they were at the table eating with us, duh. I did kind of catch Bentho staring at Sally a few times. He kind of blushed and smiled and then looked away too.

When we were done, Skylor said to me, "Your monastery is so dusty, and I'm allergic to dust! I'ma go clean the outside!"

"Well, can I help you?" I asked hopefully.

"Nah. I wanna be by myself for a while, get some fresh air, talk to myself, you know? I hope you understand," she replied.

"Ohh, I see. Escaping the chaos," I said. "Sure. See you later." And I waved as she grabbed a broom and went outside.

I was casually minding my own business when suddenly I heard a piercing shriek from outside.

It was Skylor. I recognized her voice. I yelled for Nya and ran to see what had happened. My friends followed me outside, and then we saw Skylor, fallen on the ground, and someone who I hadn't seen for a while...Aspheera. I ran up to her and then realized that Skylor had a knife in her stomach. Her eyes were full of fear.

Nya's POV

When Skylor screamed, Kai called for me, and so I gathered the others and we all ran outside, to find Skylor on the ground with a knife stabbing her, and Aspheera standing there and smirking.

Kai rushed toward Skylor and gasped. There was a pool of blood around her and she was crying.

"Ha! Looks like you didn't take proper care of your girlfriend?" Aspheera said smugly.

"That's ENOUGH!" Kai screamed at Aspheera. "HOW DARE YOU DO THIS? HOW DARE YOU! JUST F*CK OFF AND DIE YOU B*TCH!"

He lunged toward Aspheera, but then she threw him back, and kicked Skylor so hard that she went flying backwards and the knife dislodged from her stomach, resulting in another piercing shriek.

"HOW. DARE. YOU!" Kai screamed. His voice was raspy, loud...and angry. As Aspheera inched closer, Kai shouted, "GET AWAY FROM HER!" and with an almighty push, he knocked Aspheera off the steps and down about thirty feet below. I think she died.

Then kai bent down, facing Skylor. "Hey...Skylor? Are you okay?" He whispered, his voice cracking.

"No," Skylor whispered back. "I...need...help." Her voice was unusually raspy.

"Get her to the hospital!" Harumi shrieked. She stared at Skylor with shock, fear, and tears in her eyes. I think now she understood what it would have looked life if her knife had actually stabbed Lloyd.

"Yeah, Kai! Let's all go," I said.

"Forget me...I won't make it," Skylor whispered. "I won't...make it."

"Yes you will! We're going to get you to the hospital, hold on!" I screamed, and Kai quickly picked her up and hopped into the elevator. The rest of us just jumped down the obstacle course and rushed after Kai, who was sprinting at top speed.

We arrived at the hospital, and the doctor put Skylor on a stretcher before leading us to a hospital room. I looked at Kai and his gi and hands were covered in dark red blood. The doctor gave him a tissue box, and he wiped himself off, then pulled out a fresh tissue and wiped his eyes, which were stained with tears. That didn't do anything, and he continued crying.

"Breathe! Just breathe! Take a deep breath! You need to breathe!" The doctor yelled to Skylor, who was breathing heavily in fear.

"Hey, hey, just breathe. Breathe, just breathe, relax. You're going to be okay," the doctor urged.
