it had been paradise for the pair. which seemed odd, considering their plans for world wide domination.

billie laid under the stars carresing mileena gently as if she'd break from fragility. she laid close in her arms.

"so you're named after that bitch from mortal kombat?"

"yea." she giggled, "my mother was completely obsessed with the series. it was insanity.." she paused at her choice of words. "that was before she started acting different, before s-she.."

"i know baby, it's okay." billie grabbed her hand despite her eyes remaining glued to the blue stars above. "do you think you should tell your father?"

"i have nothing to say to him."

"don't you think he should at least know your mothers no longer alive, angel?"

"he wasn't there for her and i'm sure he wouldn't care. the only reason he came to see her was because of her will." she shrugged.

"and why do you think that?"

"yea he's already rich and shit but there's no other reason he'd just visit, not when he was absent in our lives."

"you don't think people can change?" billie tore her eyes away from the stars to glance at the angel laying beside her.

"i do but i've never seen it with my own eyes. i hear people speak of it, sure but does anyone ever follow through?" she fidgeted with the rings on billies fingers.

"you wanna know what i think baby?" mileena hummed in question.

"i think every one has potential to change. i'm sure your father is a complete asshole, but you don't think he changed over the years? regretted not spending time with you?"

"because he's damn sure an ignorant bitch if he didn't not once think about his daughter. you should see him, show him how much you've changed. let him know what he's missed out on."

"i don't know, i don't wanna see him."

"just think about it baby. you don't have to answer just yet."

"i know just how hard this is trust me. i've went through this shit with my mother."

"what do you mean?" mileena tore her eyes away from the stars, her vision on the prodigy beside her.

"the reason i was even sent to the asylum was because of a call my mother made. she told twelve everything, when my only intention was to help her. she was ungrateful, she didn't appreciate what i had done for her, what i sacrificed."

billie sighed, "i was 16, four years into living at the asylum, when i went home for the first time in years. i wanted to go inside but i couldn't, so instead i looked through the window."

"she was at a table laughing with two other men. one was young and one old, most likely her boyfriend and his son."

"she never visited me once but then i knew why. she was too busy entertaining other bitches. too busy to visit her own daughter. i was too young to know what i had done."
