Fluff (and Shima being Shima)
Shima Renzo x afab Reader

Shima Renzo was always a bit of a mystery to you. He was charming, witty, and had a mischievous glint in his eye that made you feel like he was always up to something. But despite his playful demeanor, you couldn't help but feel like there was more to him than met the eye.

One day, you found yourself alone with Renzo in the library of True Cross Academy. You had been studying for an upcoming exam, but Renzo had been lounging on a nearby couch, flipping through a magazine. You couldn't help but feel a bit annoyed at his lack of focus.

"Hey," you said, closing your textbook and turning to face him. "Aren't you supposed to be studying too?"

Renzo grinned, tossing the magazine aside. "I am studying," he said. "The art of seduction."

You rolled your eyes. "You really need to focus on your studies. We have that big exam coming up."

Renzo shrugged. "Eh, I'll pass. Besides, who needs good grades when you have charm?"

You shook your head, but couldn't help but smile at his carefree attitude. "You're impossible."

Renzo chuckled, sitting up and leaning towards you. "And you're adorable when you're frustrated."

You felt your cheeks flush, and looked away. "Stop teasing me."

Renzo's expression softened. "Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to upset you."

You looked back at him, surprised by his sudden change in demeanor. "It's okay," you said. "I'm just stressed about the exam."

Renzo nodded. "I get it. It can be tough. But don't worry, I'm sure you'll do great."

You smiled, feeling grateful for his words of encouragement. "Thanks, Renzo."

He grinned. "Anytime, Y/N."

The two of you fell into a comfortable silence, both lost in your own thoughts. But after a few moments, Renzo spoke up again.

"Hey, Y/N? Can I ask you something?"

"Sure," you said, turning to face him.

He hesitated for a moment, his expression serious. "Do you ever feel like you don't belong here? Like you're not good enough to be a part of all this?"

You furrowed your brow, surprised by his question. "What do you mean?"

"I don't know," he said, shrugging. "Sometimes I feel like I'm just faking it, you know? Like I'm not really cut out for this whole exorcist thing. And I was wondering if you ever feel the same way."

You thought for a moment, considering his words. You had to admit, there were times when you felt out of place at True Cross Academy. The other students were so talented and accomplished, and sometimes you couldn't help but feel like you didn't measure up.

But then you looked at Renzo, with his easy confidence and devil-may-care attitude, and you realized that maybe everyone felt that way sometimes.

"Yeah, I know what you mean," you said. "But I think everyone feels like that sometimes. It's natural to doubt yourself, especially when you're surrounded by so many talented people."

Renzo nodded, seeming to relax a bit. "Yeah, you're right. I guess I just needed to hear that."

You smiled. "Of course. We're all in this together, after all."

Renzo grinned back at you, his eyes shining with a mischievous glint. "Speaking of being in this together, what do you say we ditch studying for a bit and go grab some snacks?"

You laughed. "You're impossible."

Renzo stood up, holding out a hand to help you up as well. "Hey, life's too short to stress all the time. Let's go live a little."

You hesitated for a moment, still feeling a bit guilty for neglecting your studies. But then you looked at Renzo, his grin infectious, and you couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement.

"Alright," you said, taking his hand. "Let's go grab some snacks."

The two of you left the library, chatting and laughing as you made your way to the cafeteria. And even though you knew you should be studying, you couldn't help but feel grateful for the moment of levity that Renzo had brought into your life.
