Fluff
Izumo Kamaki x Renzo Shima

Izumo Kamiki and Shima Renzo had always shared a complicated relationship. They had known each other since they first enrolled in True Cross Academy, where they both trained to become exorcists. Izumo was a proud and independent girl, while Shima was a laid-back and carefree boy. Despite their differences, they had always been drawn to each other, like two opposite poles of a magnet.

One day, during a training session, Izumo found herself struggling with a particularly difficult demon. As she battled with it, she heard someone calling out to her.

"Hey, Izumo! You need some help there?" It was Shima, grinning at her from across the room.

Izumo gritted her teeth. "I don't need your help, Shima. I can handle this on my own."

Shima raised his hands in surrender. "Okay, okay. I was just trying to be friendly."

Izumo rolled her eyes and turned back to the demon, but deep down, she couldn't help but feel grateful for Shima's offer. She had always admired his easygoing nature and the way he never took things too seriously, but she also found it infuriating at times.

After the training session was over, Izumo and Shima found themselves walking back to the dorms together. It was a quiet night, and the stars were shining brightly in the sky.

"Hey, Izumo," Shima said suddenly, breaking the silence. "Can I ask you something?"

Izumo nodded. "Sure, what is it?"

Shima hesitated for a moment before speaking. "Do you...like me?"

Izumo's eyes widened in surprise. "What? No, of course not! Why would you even think that?"

Shima shrugged. "I don't know. I just always felt like there was something between us, you know? Like we had this connection that was more than just friendship."

Izumo sighed. "Shima, you're my friend. That's all. I don't have any romantic feelings for you."

Shima looked disappointed, but he tried to hide it with a smile. "Okay, I get it. I just thought I'd ask."

They continued walking in silence for a few more minutes before Shima spoke again. "Izumo, can I tell you something else?"

Izumo nodded, curious. "What is it?"

Shima took a deep breath. "I know I can be a bit of a slacker sometimes, but I want you to know that I take my duties as an exorcist seriously. I may not show it all the time, but I care about this work and the people we protect."

Izumo looked at him, surprised by his sincerity. "I know that, Shima. You may act carefree, but I've seen you in action. You're a skilled exorcist."

Shima grinned at her. "Thanks, Izumo. You're pretty talented yourself."

They arrived at the dorms, and Shima turned to face Izumo. "Izumo, I know we may not have a romantic connection, but I still value our friendship. You're an amazing person, and I'm lucky to have you as a friend."

Izumo smiled warmly. "Thanks, Shima. I feel the same way. You may annoy me sometimes, but I wouldn't trade you for anyone else."

Shima chuckled. "I'll take that as a compliment."

They said their goodbyes and went their separate ways, but Izumo couldn't help but think about the conversation they had just had. She had always seen Shima as a friend, but now she saw him in a different light. She admired his dedication to his work and his loyalty to his friends.

Over the next few weeks, Izumo and Shima continued to train together and work on missions. They grew closer as friends, and Izumo found herself enjoying Shima's company more and more. She began to see him in a new light, no longer just as a carefree slacker but as a passionate and dedicated exorcist.

One day, while they were on a mission together, they found themselves facing a powerful demon. They fought it together, and in the heat of the battle, they found themselves locked in a tight embrace. As they pulled away, their eyes met, and Izumo felt her heart skip a beat.

"Izumo," Shima said softly. "I know we're just friends, but I can't help the way I feel about you. I've tried to fight it, but I can't anymore. I love you."

Izumo felt a rush of emotions flood through her. She had never thought of Shima in a romantic way before, but now she realized that she had feelings for him too.

"Shima," she said, taking his hand. "I love you too."

They shared a tender moment before returning to the battle, fighting side by side as a team. They defeated the demon, and as they walked back to the academy, they talked about their newfound feelings for each other.

"Izumo, I know we come from different worlds. You're proud and independent, while I'm laid-back and carefree. But I think we balance each other out," Shima said.

"I agree," Izumo replied. "I never thought I could be with someone who didn't take things seriously, but you make me see things from a different perspective. I like that about you."

They arrived at the academy, and Shima took Izumo's hand. "Izumo, will you be my girlfriend?"

Izumo smiled. "Yes, Shima. I will."

They shared a kiss under the stars, and from that day on, they were inseparable. They continued to train and work together as exorcists, but now they had a new bond that strengthened their relationship. They faced new challenges and demons together, but with each other by their side, they knew they could overcome anything.

Years later, as they looked back on their journey together, they knew that their love had been worth the risk. They had defied expectations and found happiness in each other, proving that sometimes, the most unexpected relationships can be the most fulfilling.
