Our thoughts were left unspoken beneath an overcast sky—
that was painted with London gloom.
I was a young child
too wrapped up in my little world,
Yet that day,
I was feeling blue.

Near the wharf,
the world was silent,
the water was still—
Even the gulls were hushed.

Like they knew the hourglass
With all the sand,
Had flowed to the bottom
And our time was coming
to an end.

Tears of the clouds
awakening the
Forevermore farewells
and memories
became lost flames
to my soul.

And the man I once knew,
nevermore to be,
as mama took my hand
and walked away
from the once upon
glee.
