Ash: -looks up at the ceiling- I don't know...I've been conflicted on that myself. Maybe...my voice hasn't reached him yet. Maybe it's my own fault, whatever the answer is I want to help him. I also came to a new realization when I was fighting Dragapult. I really only wanted Riolu to evolve for my own sake, not it's own. A pokemon's evolution is self exclamotry in the title. It's an "evolution" of the pokemon's nature, their hopes, and a milestone in their own development. That's why I won't rush Riolu anymore, he'll evolve when he wants to -closes his eye-
Ash: -laughs- (It's funny how I hear Red's voice even now. He was right again, me being nice and doing things with the right intention may not result in the desired effect.)
-Ash suddenly feels a rush of strong emotion-
Ash: I feel you, I really feel you. You're trying so hard for me, I appreciate it
Gloria: Who are yo- wait! Are you talking with Riolu!?
Ash: Yes, can you please quiet down a little -laughs-
Gloria: Sorry!
Ash: No worries. -clenches his fist- This is the same type of connection I had with Charizard earlier. Now we both need to somehow push further than this.
Gloria: Well Riolu and Lucario are all about aura right? So it should be easy
Ash: That is true, but then again, not all things are created equal.

Ash: I'm not worried about that, because I know me and Riolu are going all the way, and we will complete anything you throw at us. Master Mustard -gives him a look basically saying to bring it on-
Mustard: -counters Ash's look- Oh, hehehe. Aren't you an interesting one, Ketchum. -turns his back and walks towards the door-
