FREEN POV

After Freeya and my brother left, Becky and I were left alone in her house. Becky's house is spacious, and my room is also quite big, complete with a TV, computer, and it's clean.

My attention shifted to my bed. It had a grey bedsheet, and the room's color scheme was also in my favorite color.

(Knock knock)

I automatically looked towards the door.

"Is it Becky knocking?"

I stood up from the bed and approached the door, immediately opening it.

"What is it?"

I immediately asked when I opened the door, but I paused when I saw  janeth the cleaner of her house.

" Ma'am Freen? Becky asked me to check if you need anything, she said you should come to her room.

I glanced at the other room, then back at her.

"Alright then. I'll go to her room if I need anything. Thank you."

She left immediately, so I closed the door and went back to my bed, lying down.

"Why does she need someone else to give me instructions instead of coming to my room herself?"

Freen sighed as she thought about Becky.

"She's weird."

A moment later, her phone rang, catching her attention.

"Who could be calling now?"

Freen got up and took her phone from her bag. When she looked at it, it was Pnam on the other line.

"Uhmmm, Pnam, why?"

"How's your flight? How's the Philippines?"

Freen returned to her bed and lay down again. Before answering Pnam's questions.

"It's okay. It was hot earlier, but as of now, I'm fine because I'm in my room."

"That's good, Freen. By the way, I have good news for you."

"What is it?"

"Mom allowed me to come back to the Philippines. You know, I'm excited to be with you again."

"Really?"

"Yes, and by the way, Freen, I've been talking to your brother, Kirk, and he also said he's coming back to the Philippines."

I was surprised by what Pnam said. Why would Kirk come back to the Philippines? As far as I know, he didn't want to come back here because his life is in the States, along with his friends. So why did he decide to come back?

"Freen?"

I snapped back to reality when Pnam called me.

"Uhmmmm..."

"Are you okay? By the way, Kirk and I have the same flight back to the Philippines."

"Why is Kirk coming back?"

"What kind of question is that, Freen? Of course, he wants to see your sister getting married, right?"

"Did he agree to Freeya's marriage?"

Kirk didn't want Freeya to get married because she's still young. He wanted Freeya to manage our family business in the States, so he got even more upset when he found out that she's marrying someone he doesn't know.

"I don't know. Maybe?"

"Hmmmm, but take care on your flight. When is your flight, by the way?"

"So you miss me, huh?"

Yes, I miss Pnam. She's the one I usually go with for check-ups and other appointments. She's a good friend, and I've known her since we were kids, so we're close. Sometimes she even sleeps over at my house, and we're often mistaken for a couple because we're so close. But she's just my best friend, and we can't help but be mistaken because we're so close to each other.

"Ouch! Why aren't you answering my question, Freen? It's upsetting!"

"Sorry, I missed you so much! Don't be upset, okay?"

"There you go! That's better, hmmmf!"

I just laughed. Pnam really acts like a boyfriend sometimes, hayyst.

BECKY POV

I was about to knock on Freen's door when I heard her laughter from inside. I couldn't help but smile and wonder, "Who is she talking to?"

I leaned closer to the door to try and listen to their conversation.

"Aww! Why are you upset already? I miss you so much! Don't be upset, okay?"

I immediately stepped back upon hearing that.

"She already has a boyfriend? What a shame... Hmmmf?"

I leaned against the wall and started thinking.

"Ok, if she has a boyfriend now, it's no problem for me. I can steal her away from her boyfriend, right? Just a mindset, like that."

Becky laughed after saying that to herself, which the house cleaner quickly noticed.

"Ma'am Becky?" Janeth call her.

"Huh? What?"

"Are you okay? I've been seeing you smiling outside in Freen's room."

"Huh? Smiling? Me? No way."

"Do you want me to knock on the door for you so it won't be too obvious?"

Janeth teased me, so I playfully hit her arm.

"Stop it, Janeth! I might kick you."

She immediately backed away when I said that. She probably thought I would really kick her.

"Sorry, ma'am."

She said while laughing and making a peace sign in front of me. Suddenly, Freen's door opened, so I quickly ran, not realizing that  Janeth did the same, and we ended up colliding and bumping our foreheads.

"Ouch!"

I exclaimed in pain.

"My forehead hurts, Ma'am Becky!"

When Freen saw us at her door, both  Janeth and I smiled at her.

"It was Ma'am Becky's idea."

My eyes widened at what Janeth said, so I pinched her on the side.

"Why me?"

"She wanted to invite you to watch a movie, but she was too shy to tell you, ma'am."

I give her a side-eyed, but it's okay. She gets 10 points from me for that excuse.

"Oh, really? Why didn't you knock, Becky?"

"She's just shy, Ma'am Freen."

She added.

I just nodded, not wanting to talk anymore.

"Hmm, doesn't seem like it."

She whispered, looking at me.

I forced a smile at her because I felt embarrassed.

IN THE LIVING ROOM

"Are you okay? Your forehead is red."

"I'm fine, Freen,"

I replied, even though I was actually nervous.  Janeth was in trouble. I never said anything about watching a movie.

"Ma'am Freen?"

We both turned to look at  Janeth behind us.

"Oh, by the way, I sent some ice cubes to  Janeth so i can put them on your forehead, Becky."

I couldn't say anything as  Janeth handed a small bag with ice cubes to freen and then she gently pressed it against my forehead.

I couldn't help but stare at her, and when she looked at me, I quickly averted my gaze. I didn't want her to notice that I was staring into her eyes and lips, and I was afraid she might hear the pounding of my heart, which was beating loudly.
