The Lost Soul: The Hybrid

Chapter 5 JUNE'S POV

I woke up from my nap feeling off. Something was wrong. I got up and walked, well, flitted into Cedric's room. "CEDRIC!" I screeched causing the pictures to fall and glass to break. I saw him jump and rush to me. "June are you okay?" I growled and pushed him back. "NO ! SOMETHING IS WRONG AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS!" I growled out pacing back and forth. "June, baby we will figure out what it is, but until then come sit down. I have something to talk to you about." I sighed and did my breathing exercises that the witch training me taught me.

"What is this about." He sighed "I don't know how to say this, so I will start from the beginning. Years ago there were these mates My uncle Rick and my aunt Gene, she was captured by this group of hunters and they tested her to the max and killed her. She met the Moon goddess and was told she would be reborn. She also got told that she is to finish what she was supposed to do before she died. She was supposed to train a hybrid to their full potential. The moon goddess said that the hybrid has a never ending cycle of life, if the hybrid dies she gets reborn." I took his words in. "So if I die, I'll come back?" He bit his lip. "Not necessarily. If you die now you wouldn't come back. That is because you aren't fully mated. If we were to finish the mating process then you would come back and be a different person, sad thing would be I'd have to look for you all over again."

I looked at him. "Cedric... This... Is too much... Let me.. I need to think about this..." He nodded. "No rush my love. I just needed you to know that we have only a month and a half to finish the process or you'll never come back. Just think it through, and go get trained up with My uncle, He's going to be the vamp training you. I was supposed to do it, but my dad told me I had another matter to deal with." I nodded. "I'll think about it Ced, but I can't guarantee that I'm ready for that." I could see him getting frustrated.

"I'm not ready to lose you, but doesn't seem like I have a choice do I? Make the decision but I can promise I won't be happy if it isn't to finish this. June I've waited my whole fucking life for this. To meet you and love you and protect you. You have two weeks to decide, or you'll never see me again." He stormed out of his room and down to the study. I sat on his bed and whimpered. He's going to leave me if I don't finish the mating, but I am not ready for that at least I don't think I am.

I didn't even hear Paige walk in and sit next to me and hug me. "What's wrong girlie?" I whimpered again and curled into her. "He's going to leave me." I cried out softly. She sighed and stood up. "I'll be back, why don't you go to your room and When I get back with Val, Veronica and Sab, we will sit and talk" I nodded and disappeared into thin air.

As I reappeared into my room, I climbed into bed and moped around and stayed curled up until the door opened and the girls walked in. "I brought popcorn and movies." Sabrina said. "I brought the drinks! It's vodka, whiskey and beer!" Valerie boomed out as well. "I brought snacks and Paige brought ice cream!" Veronica voiced out too. I sat up and looked around. "Thanks guys, I just feel really down right now." Valerie laughed. "I know I think we all do at this point. The Rain and storm outside is a sign." I looked outside to see it thundering and lightening. "I'm sorry guys, Its just everything is going downhill now."

They sat down beside me and sighed. "Tell us what happened." I played with my hands. "I woke up from my nap and felt something was off. I felt like something bad has happened and its going to continue to get bad. I went to Cedric and kind of made all the pictures fall and then he told me about finishing the mate bond and everything all I did was tell him I'd think about it that I wasn't ready right this second and he got mad and yelled at me telling me and I quote" I held up my fingers making invisible quotation marks. "I am not ready to lose you but I don't have a choice do? I've waited my whole fucking life for you! You have two weeks to decide or you'll never see me again!" I made my voice sound like his, I don't know how but I did.

The girls were pissed. I looked up at them. "Guys, I just want to watch these movies and get drunk." Taking the bottle of vodka out of Sabrina's hand, I chugged the bottle down till it only had a few drops left. "That was soooo good.!" I giggled. Valerie laughed. "Girl you aren't supposed to down that!" I shrugged "Lets watch a scary movie!!!" I giggled and fell backwards. We turned on the curse of the bridge and sat for a few hours watching it.

After a few hours and multiple drinks later, all of us were giggling and telling each other things that nobody knew. "I once had a dog, but I ended up killing it just by looking at it. My parents told me he was sick and was dying anyway." I looked at them and frowned. "What?! I didn't mean to kill it." They frowned. "June, You're glowing red." Valerie said. She hugged me and we were dragged in.

"Cedric, you don't understand that your mate is dying and all you are doing is sitting here and drinking your sorrows away. You realize she is never" Paige got cut off. "She won't be back yeah because she chose not to finish the mating process!!!!" He growled out. "NO! BECAUSE YOU TOLD HER YOU WERE LEAVING HER IF SHE DIDN'T ! You gave her an ultimatum and that is never a good thing to do! SHE IS A POWERFUL WITCH AND VAMPIRE AND YOU TREATED HER LIKE SHIT! YOU PROMISED HER CEDRIC! PROMISED! YOU made a promise that you will give your life to protect her, but you are not even trying! I fucking hate you!" Paige stormed out of the room and to hers. We went down the hall to a room where I saw myself lay. He walked in and shut the door. "June, I know you won't be coming back again, and this is the end of your life cycle and you'll die not knowing that I do love you, but I couldn't be who you wanted me to be." He walked out and to his room. Valerie marched into the room and threw books and anything she could get her hands on. "YOU DIID THIS!!! YOU DID THIS TO HER! YOU CAUSED MY BEST FRIEND TO LOSE HER LIFE, AND YOU CAUSED BETHANY TO LOSE THE ONLY SISTER SHE EVER HAD!!!! DO YOU KNOW THAT ?! JUNE WAS BETHANY'S REAL SISTER. HER PARENTS GAVE BETHANY UP THINKING IT WOULD BE BEST TO HIDE HER IN THE COVEN THEN KEEP HER!!!! BETHANY IS A WRECK AND YOU ARE THE CAUSE!!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR DAD IS GOING TO DO BUT YOU MIGHT WANT TO GET READY FOR HIS WRATH! HE CAN'T GIVE YOU THE KINGDOM WITHOUT A MATE AND SINCE YOUR MATELESS YOU ARE MORE LIKELY GETTING TOSSED OUT OF HERE." Valerie boomed loudly shaking the room. "CEDRIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" His father hollered for him.

He got up and went to his fathers office. "yes father." He held his head to the floor. "YOU DISGRACED YOUR FAMILY. YOUR MOTHER WOULD BE DISAPPOINTED IN YOU CEDRIC. YOU ARE BANISHED FROM THE COVEN. YOU ARE NOW A ROGUE VAMPIRE. PACK YOUR STUFF AND LEAVE, YOU HAVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT TO BE OUT OF THIS HOUSE BEFORE I SEND THE BEST WITCH ON YOU!"

We jerked back and looked at each other. "The fuck." Wesaid at the same time. "Guys...." Veronica spoke softly. "The room is lit now andnobody cut the lights on." We looked around and saw that the room was indeedlit with light and I fell forwards.

Cedric's POV:

"Cedric, you don't understand that your mate is dying and all you are doing is sitting here and drinking your sorrows away. You realize she is never" Paige got cut off. "She won't be back yeah because she chose not to finish the mating process!!!!" He growled out. "NO! BECAUSE YOU TOLD HER YOU WERE LEAVING HER IF SHE DIDN'T ! HER PARENTS GAVE BETHANY UP THINKING IT WOULD BE BEST TO HIDE HER IN THE COVEN THEN KEEP HER!!!! BETHANY IS A WRECK AND YOU ARE THE CAUSE!!! I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR DAD IS GOING TO DO BUT YOU MIGHT WANT TO GET READY FOR HIS WRATH! His father hollered for him.
