Yuuri, again.

As I emerged from my dreamy state, it took me a moment to register the current day.

It's hard to believe I'm going on a date with someone I barely know.

But then again, isn't that the purpose of a first date?

I emerged from my snug, comfortable bed and ambled towards my cassette player, slotting in ABBA's "Dancing Queen". Though the volume might be excessive, I knew Phitchit wouldn't mind. On the other hand, Mrs. Calind, our neighbor, was another story. Frankly, I wasn't too fond of her myself.

As I opened my wardrobe, swaying to the beat of the music, I searched for a suitable outfit that wouldn't make me appear too much like a disheveled teenager.

My eyes settled on a pair of loose, high-waisted blue jeans, featuring tears on the knees. I decided to wear fishnet stockings underneath for added flair. Complementing the jeans, I selected a slightly untucked black dress shirt, leaving the top two buttons unbuttoned.

Although Phitchit probably intended to help me choose an outfit for my casual date, I wanted to look my best while still feeling like myself.

Staring into the musky bathroom mirror, I slicked back my fluffy black locks with the gel in my grasp.

Just then, I heard Phitchit's exclamation, "God, Yuuri! How could you even pick out an outfit like that? It's hideous!"

My grin wavered for a moment, but I managed to regain my composure and turned towards my friend with a smile.

"I happen to like it," I replied with a hint of amusement. "Plus, I don't dress to please anyone other than myself."

Phichit rolled his eyes and shook his head before chuckling, "You're impossible."

In a hurry to leave, I quickly grabbed a piece of toast, said my farewells to Phitchit and headed out the door towards the old, run-down cassette shop that I considered my second home.

I wasn't surprised to find that there was nobody at Flashback Cassettes when I arrived. It wasn't exactly a bustling place, and hardly anyone walked in here. The shop appeared abandoned, with shelves covered in dust and posters peeling off the walls.

There was still something special about the musty smell of old cassette tapes and the crackling sound of vinyl records. It was a place where time seemed to stand still and the music took on a life of its own.

As I made my way through the shop, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia wash over me. The sound of my footsteps echoed in the empty store as I browsed the shelves filled with old cassette tapes.

I ran my fingers over the spines, reading the titles and remembering the songs that used to fill my childhood. It was like being transported back in time, and I found myself smiling as I remembered all the good memories associated with each album.

Suddenly, I heard a sound coming from the back of the store. It was a muffled noise, like someone talking softly. I cautiously made my way towards the source of the sound, curious to see who or what was making it.

Rounding the corner, I was taken aback by the sight of a man in his mid-twenties intently hunched over a box of cassette tapes. His shaggy blonde hair and black leather jacket, adorned with ripped jeans, exuded a rebellious and sexual air. Startled by my presence, he glanced up and I caught the surprise etched on his face.

"Oh, hey," he said, his voice laced with an accent that I couldn't quite place. "I didn't expect anyone to be here."

"Me neither," I replied, feeling a little awkward. "I work here, nobody ever really comes in here."

"Oh, well I'm sure I'll be a regular" he said, standing up and brushing off his jeans. "I'm Chris, by the way."

"Nice to meet you, Chris. I'm Yuuri," I replied, offering him a friendly smile. "So what brings you to Flashback Cassettes?"

Chris gestured towards the box of tapes in front of him. "I'm a bit of a music junkie darling. I've been going to record stores all over the city trying to find some hidden gems."

I nodded in understanding. "I know the feeling. This place might not look like much, but we have some pretty rare tapes that you won't find anywhere else."

Chris's eyes lit up with interest. "Really? That's exactly what I'm looking for. Mind if I take a look around?"

"Go ahead," I said, gesturing towards the shelves. "Let me know if you need any help finding anything."

Chris nodded and began to browse the shelves, pulling out tapes and examining them closely. As he did, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. Maybe this would be the start of something new for Flashback Cassettes.

As I led Chris around the shop, showing him the different sections and genres of music we carried, I couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope for the future of Flashback Cassettes. Maybe with a regular customer like Chris, we could start to build a community around the store and breathe new life into it.

As we chatted, I found myself enjoying Chris's company more and more. He had an easy-going personality and a quick wit that made me laugh. We shared a love of music and swapped stories about our favorite bands and concerts we had attended.

Eventually, it was time for Chris to leave, and I found myself feeling a little disappointed that our time together was over so soon.

"Well, it was great meeting you, Yuuri," Chris said, flashing me a smile.

"I'll see you soon." I said as Chris left the shop, I turned around to check the clock, feeling excited about my upcoming date with Victor.

Because of chris, maybe Jackie could finally achieve her dream of getting somewhere with this place, just maybe.

I realized Victor's arrival time was fast approaching. It was almost 1:50 pm when I heard the bell ring as someone entered the shop. I knew it was him, almost ten minutes early for our date.

As I looked up, I saw Victor's striking appearance. He was wearing a bright red letterman jacket with white stripes, making him look like a classic American jock from the movies with the American dream. Even if we were in Britain. The jacket was unbuttoned, revealing a tight-fitting white t-shirt that accentuated his muscular build. His black skinny jeans were ripped at the knees, adding a touch of edginess to his overall look.

He walked towards me with a confident stride, his silver hair perfectly styled, and his bright cherry lips curving into a smile. It was impossible to deny that he looked absolutely stunning.
