For days Lotte's been having stomach pains in the bottom right hand side, she's been putting it aside but each day goes by and it feels like it's getting worst. She hasn't told any of her friends because she doesn't want to worry them and it might not be serious. However, today it was beginning to get unbearable. Less, Ella and Ellie went to the shops since they needed some food for dinner tonight, Leah stayed home because Lotte was still asleep at the time.
Lotte's pov:
The pain in my stomach was beginning to get unbearable and I'm not sure what to do. I woke up at 7:30 am this morning in so much pain, I could hear talking from downstairs but i was in way too much pain to get up. I looked at my phone, it was 8:45 am and I saw a message from Leah:

Sent at :40 am - Leah: morning Lotte, hope you slept well, the
Girls have gone to the shops to get food for lunch. I'm
downstairs if you need me x
You: morning, I'll come down x
Leah: want any breakfast? Or coffee?x
You: Coffee please, thanks le x
I slowly sat up, I got a sudden gush of pain in my stomach causing me to put my hands over where's it hurts. I stood up slowly and moaned quietly from the the pain I'm in; Almost about to faint from the pain I made it downstairs to leah.
"Morning Leah" i said in a tired and quiet voice
"Morning lots, your coffee is here on the table"
"Thank you le" I walked over to the sofa where my coffee is trying not to make it obvious I've got pain but Leah being leah she noticed
"You okay Lotte?"
"Huh, oh yeah I'm fine"
"Are you sure? Your walking a bit slowly and kinds of leaning over as you walk"
I sighed loudly once I finally was able to sit down
"Leah I'm fine don't worry about" I am not fine, in fact, my stomach feels likes it's going to explode. It's hurts so much.
Leah's pov:
I know Lotte well enough to know if she's telling the truth or not, and she is not telling g the truth. She definitely has some sort of pain in her stomach area because why would she been leaning over when walking with her hand over her right side. I decided I'm going to find out.
When Lotte was looking at her phone, I gave a very gentle push on where her hands were covering when she was walking over to the sofa. "Ouch Leah what are you doing!?" Lotte said dropping her phone and crouching over with her hands covering the area I just pushed, "Lotte does that hurt?"
Lotte's pov:
I know leah knows, I might aswell tell her.
I nodded in shame.
"Lotte, have you got appendicitis?" Leah said standing up
" i- I don't know"
"How long has it been hurting for?"
"Maybe a couple days to a week!"
"Lotte this isn't good, if it'd your appendix you could be making it worst by not getting it checked! Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't want to-" Lotte was cut off when she got a sudden sharp pain that made her do a little scream
"Lotte what!!?" Leah said crouching down to where Lotte was sitting on the sofa
"Leah it hurts, leah"
"We need to get you to the hospital Lotte"
Ig your pov?
Leah helped Lotte stand up and they slowly made their way to the car, Leah drove Lotte to a&e and will call the others after she knows what's going on.
It didn't take long for the doctor to take Lotte into a room after hearing the fact she's got really bad pain in her right side. After examination on Lotte the doctor came in.
"Okay so Lotte unfortunately you have got appendicitis and we are going to have to operate!"
"Today?" Lotte said with a worried voice
"Ideally yes, since it's been left for about a week if we were to leave it any the longer your appendix's could burst" Lotte started sweating in fear
"How long will the surgery take?" Leah asked
"The operation should take about an hour and you will be put under general anaesthetic so you won't feel a thing" said the doctor
"I'll come back in a few minutes to take you for operation" the doctor said walking out
Lotte was starting to feel anxious and fidgety, leah noticed and placed her hand on Lotte's to calm her down
"Hey Lotte it'll be okay"
"Leah I'm scared"
"I know, but it will go so quick and you won't feel a thing. They will put you to sleep and when you wake up I'll be right here" thanks le
"Leah?" Said Lotte
"Yeah?"
"Do you think you could call my parents please and tell them what's going on?"
"Yes of course, il, also ring the girls and let them know too"
The doctor came in
"You ready?" The doctor asked
Lotte nodded with a nervous look on her face
"Don't worry you'll be in good hands and you won't feel a thing" the doctor said reassuring her
"You'll see me when you wake up okay lots, good luck"
"Thank you le"
The doctor took Lotte into the operating room, leah had to stay but she decided to tell Lotte and parents and the girls about what's happening
Conversation with the girls:

Leah: hey guys
Ellie: hii
Leah: have you finished shopping?
Ellie: yeah, we're just walking home now
Leah: okay, we aren't home
Ellie: why not
Leah: Lotte woke up with really bad pain in her stomach, I took her to a&e and it turned out to be appendicitis.
Ellie: oh no, is she okay?
Leah: she's just gone in for surgery
Alessia: oh no poor Lotte, should we come?
Leah: maybe come once Lotte is awake
Ella: good idea leah
Ellie: keep us updated okay?
Leah: I will xx
1 hour later
Leah's pov:
After what felt like years Lotte finally came back, I stood up "how is she?" I asked the doctor "the operation went great, she is going to be in quite a lot of pain when she wakes up but we've giving her some medicine so that should eventually kick in. When she wakes up she might be a little confused since that's what general anesthetiser does, so if she is try to remind her not to move to fast"
"Okay thank you doctor" I said before moving my chair next to Lotte and wait for her to wake up
5 minutes later
Lotte begins to stir, she slowly opens her eyes
"Hello" I said quietly and putting my phone aside
"Hi Leah"
"How are you feeling?"
Lotte doesn't respond to the question since she's still a bit sleepy and is still only just waking up,
Lotte tries to sit up "ouch"
"Lotte careful, don't sit up, you just had an operation"
"My head hurts" that's probably because you've been on an anaesthetic, it should wear off eventually
Lotte's POV:
When I woke up the first thing I saw was Leah, I knew I had just had an operation but I was still taking in everything that had happened, the minute I woke up I had no idea where I was or what had happened until I got a sharp pain in my stomach when I moved.
"Leah?" I asked
"Yes lots?"
"How long was I in surgery for?"
"About an hour"
I nodded and turned my head to face the ceiling, my eyes are struggling to stay open but I try forcing them to.
Leah's pov:
I can tell Lotte is trying to stay awake, I don't know why she does that to herself.
"Hey Lotte if your tired go to sleep!"
"I don't want you to just sit there on your own" Lotte said turning to face her, her eyes are red with tiredness and probably pain.
"Lotte don't worry about me, rest okay. When you wake up the medicine might've worked a bit more and you might feel better!"
"Thanks le" Lotte closed her eyes and just like that she was asleep.
Time skip to the night - still Leah's pov:
I was sleeping on a really uncomfortable bed that changed into a chair, I had woken up a couple times already, when I was about to fall back asleep I started to hear groans from Lotte, I quickly sat up
"Lotte?" I said quietly but no response
"Lotte are you okay?"
"....."
I'm so confused, her groans sounded like she was awake but she wasn't answering me. I got up and walked towards Lotte
"Lotte?" I asked again
"Leah" said she through sobs
"It hurts"
"I'll get the doctor!"
I ran to get the doctor and quickly back to Lotte
"I'm sorry le!"
"Sorry for what?"
"Waking you up because of my pain" Lotte said crying
"Hey hey, Lotte don't be Sorry you can't help it"
The doctor walks in
"What's the matter?"
"It's her stomach doctor, she's in a a lot of pain"
The doctor gently presses over Lotte's stomach, each time her pressed against her stomach where she'd been operated on she let her out a very quiet 'ouch'

"I'm going to inject some medicine in you, it will make you very sleepy but it will stop the pain for the night" Lotte slowly fell asleep, i mouthed "thank you" to the doctor before getting back in bed.
2 months later
Lotte:
Im not able to play just yet but I'm getting better, my friends are helpjng me through this and I will soon be able to get back on the pitch
