9. Offer

Nezu and Mirko had been trying to console Gem and help her get through that encounter for two hours and it seems she was finally calming down.

"Hm... You don't have a place to stay, do you..." Nezu starts and Gem shakes her head to confirm Nezus suspicions. "Hm... Well, why don't you become a teacher?" Gems head lifts up a bit in confusion and intrigue.

"But... I'm already a teacher- I'm a principal!" Gem exclaims in confusion.

"I mean a teacher here at UA. You would stay in the teacher dorms and help teach classes!" Nezu reiterates.

"Oh... Uh sure why not. What will I teach?" Gem asks.

"I'm not entirely sure. I was wondering what all you know. We might just have you be a teachers assistant." Nezu answers.

"Well... I'm not sure how much I can teach here if there isn't exactly magic like I'm used too, but I can try." Gem replied, unsure of how well this will work.

"Perhaps we can put you with Aizawa for now to let you get comfortable in the environment." Nezu suggests.

"Sure. Why not." Gem starts to cheer up a bit more.

"Great!" Nezu presses a button and leans into some sort of stick with a black sponge attached and says "Can Shōta Aizawa come to the principal's office? Shōta Aizawa to the principal's office." He stops pressing the button and sits back down in his chair.

A few minutes later, Nezu says "Come in Aizawa." and a black haired man wearing a full black baggy outfit and a gray scarf comes in. He looks at Gem and raises an eyebrow before turning to Nezu, hands in his pockets.

"How do you always know?" The black-clad man asks the chimera.

"A good principal never tells his secrets." Nezu replied.

"Whatever. Why am I here?"

"Ms. Geminitay will be assisting you in teaching class 1A!" Gem waves. "She will be staying in the empty teacher's dorm across from yours so she can easily ask you any questions."

"Why?"

"For reasons above your paygrade."

"Of course..." Aizawa sighs. "Anyways. You're Ms. Geminitay?"

"Uh, just Geminitay or Gem is fine." Gem replies. "I hope I can help out a bit." Aizawa nods in validation before speaking.

"Well let's get going then. Classes are in two days and you need to know about those problem children."

"Problem children?"

"Yes."

"Ok then..."

Aizawa made sure Gem understood what was going on and told her everything about the students of class 1A.

"So. I'm going to need to know what you can do. Show me what you got." Aizawa states.

"Okay..." Gem tries to use her magic cautiosly, unsure if it will work here. Sure enough it does! She then decides to look in her grimoire for a spell. "Hmmm... Ah! There it is." The page displays a spell to summon familiars. "𝕱𝖗𝖎𝖊𝖓𝖉 𝖓𝖔𝖙 𝖋𝖔𝖊, 𝖈𝖔𝖒𝖕𝖆𝖓𝖎𝖔𝖓 𝖔𝖋 𝖒𝖎𝖓𝖊, 𝖍𝖊𝖊𝖉 𝖒𝖞 𝖈𝖆𝖑𝖑 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝖇𝖊 𝖆𝖙 𝖒𝖞 𝖘𝖎𝖉𝖊!" suddenly there is a flash of light and a beautiful white dragon appears. She recites the spell once more and a bear appears. She gives the dragon some nose pets and tells it to gaurd UA and let her know when people enter so she can identify friend from foe and the dragon flies up to circle the building before landing on the roof. Aizawa just looks in shock and terror.

Gem approaches the bear and gives it some head pats, smiling. "Hello Blue! How are you? Oh yes you're a good boy!" Aizawa is very confused.

"Wh-H-How-Why-What-Huh-" Aizawa struggles to find the words. "I-I guess you'll do just fine..." Aizawa says softly as he is still in shock.

I just want to say that I am NOT shipping Gem and Aizawa. Don't get the wrong idea.
