You gave me such pretty chains
They bind me up, lock me away
Treat me like I'm your slave
Nothing was ever the same
When you lied and said
You loved me like no otherSuch pretty chains
I wear in this gilded cage
Surrounded by your beautiful lies
And your cruel smilesI've been locked away for years now
Lost to the ways of your cruel fate
Nothing can sate
Your pure, unending rageYou've given me such pretty chains
I wish I could return them,
Spread my aching wings again
Embrace myself once more
Be free from the pretty chainsBound by love, locked in by blood
You said you'd never be bound
Not to anyone, not to me
And yet ....
Yet you have bound me
For years and yearsSuch pretty chains....
And yet, I want to break them
