when all is lost & found

Trials by fire and trials by pain
Running through the gauntlet and hoping to gain
Fame is a liar that often kills
Nothing more than cheap, unreal thrills

Your life's worth fighting for
As you struggle to reach the shore
You know you're not alone
Because I am with you,
Never seen but always felt

When all is lost and its all found
Can't be forever alone and unbound
But time's a liar, through and through
I can understand what it's done to you

Haggard and battered, you rise up tall
Because that's who you are,
You'll never fall

You keep taking hits but you persevere
No matter how hard or how severe
It's time to lower those fists of yours
And let the tears flow once more

It's okay to cry, it's okay to scream
Just never give up, okay?

My friend, I know it's hard now
But someday, you'll understand
How much you're loved and cared for
And how much you matter

When all is lost and found
It's time to rest now,
Lay down and take a breath
You're strong enough to pass this test

But for now, please rest
And when you rise again
Remember I'll be there, we'll be there
Helping you to do your best
