Ugo is a smart man.
He was not someone who will turn over his loyalty above anything else.
He was not someone who would prioritize himself over others.
He will never turn his back on his friends.
Ugo is a smart man.

"So~ may I know if you have find any leads?" The engineer asks as he made unnecessarily loud movements to cover their tactician's footsteps nearby.

Ugo is a smart man.
He was not someone who will turn over his loyalty above anything else.

"I may have caught a glimpse of a verrrryyyy distinct scroll from way over there."

He was not someone who would prioritize himself over others.

"Oh look, on top of that tall shelf! Oh....my mistake, it's just a measly envelope."

He will never turn his back on his friends.

"Solomon, you should take a break."

Ugo is a smart man.

The resistance leader finds himself sighing at his friend's unusual behavior, he had noticed his peculiar actions the second he entered the room, but he couldn't find the exact time to point it out.

"Ugo..." he muttered, fingers pressing the bridge of his nose, heckㅡnot even an hour has passed yet, but the engineer was oddly...eccentric, in a sense that it's literally hindering Solomon's focus.

He does not act as such, as he was someone who would choose to read with him side by side with occasional interaction in between
He was never this....chatty.

"Is there any problem?" He finally asks, his hand closing the thick tome he had been trying to read for a while now if it weren't for Ugo's incessant urge to disturb him.

The engineer sweats,

"Nothing. What makes you ask that?"

If sweating means losing blood, he's dead by now.

Ugo by all means is a righteous man, but there are those specific times wherein he'll find himself bending against his own rules. Most especially when it involves knowledge beyond him that he finds the need to unravel more of it.

The magician on the other hand can only sigh once more as he rubs his temple, almost as if to soothe any discomfort caused by the engineer himself.

"Look, I really appreciate you tagging along, and accompanying me here. But this isn't a great time for being eccentric."

Ugo grinned awkwardly, "Me? Eccentric?"

"That's new.. Even (Name) hadn't thought of that.." he mumbled to himself,

With a sigh, Solomon drops all the other scrolls he was holding against the dusty table,

"Come out now, (Name)..."

The engineer froze,

A small surprised shriek was heard from the shelf situated at the far corner. 2 pairs of eyes went towards the source, the other looking more panicked than ever, while the other pair seemed indifferent.

A few seconds has passed a head peek hesitantly from the shelf, brows furrowed in concern.

"Hi, Solomon." She muttered in a small voice,

The said male simply eyed her for a complete moment before closing his eyes as if to regain any remaining patience he has left.

"You've noticed her all along?!" Ugo asks in disbelief, his hands splaying across the table,

"Yes." The blue haired simply answered, "I chose to be silent about it since she isn't doing much anyway."
