Few Days Later - Luna's Point of View
"Yay! Lunch time!" Orihime shouted with Tatsuki and the other girls in joy. "I'm excited to eat what I've made today." She turns to me. "Want to join us for lunch, Luna?"
"Sure, but I forgot my lunch, so I'll need to run to the school store first." I said to her.
"Oh, don't do that. You can have some of mine," Orihime offers while Tatsuki shakes her head behind Orihime's back.
"Ugh- thanks, but I also need milk-"
"Here," Uryu interrupts me as he handed me his bento box. "You can have mine."
"Are you sure?" I ask him.
"Yes," He said without looking me.
I questioned myself on why he would give me his lunch for a moment. Then I figured out the reason.
After we returned from the Soul Society, we found out that there are more than just Hollows, Shinigamis, and Quincys roaming around the earth. There were these souls called Bounts. They were fail experimental artificial souls from so many years ago back in the Soul Society. They could consume souls and live for eternity. Basically, vampires if you see it like that. There was this one nice Bount named Yoshino, who took Uryu and hid him away from us. I found them with my Dream Sight and planned to attack Yoshino until Uryu got between us. He explained that she healed his injuries and that she wanted to stop her leader as well. I didn't want to believe him. Mostly because I didn't want to trust her despite proof that she healed him, but I had no choice but to let them be. To summarize the story, The Bounts wanted revenge on the Soul Society for executed their race, I saved Uryu's life while Yoshino died, the Bounts failed and died off, and everything went back to normal, well, almost back to normal.
'Is this his way of saying thank you?' I thought to myself.
"Besides, I brought a backup lunch box in case my first one is ruined." Uryu continued. "Please enjoyed the seasoned baked chicken bedded on two lettuces with white rice and chopped carrots and broccoli on the side. If that's not to your liking, then you may have my backup lunch, which is cooked, rolled up eggs-"
"Okay, I'll take it. Thank you." I said as I took his bento box and followed Orihime and the girls outside.
Half of Lunch Later
"Luna? Is there something wrong? You've been staring at your lunch instead of eating." Orihime asks me.
"Oh, it's nothing. I'm just not hungry-" my stomach growled, which was loud enough for everyone to hear. I blushed in embarrassment and softly laughed, "Hey, I guess I'm hungry now. I'll start eating."
I finally opened the bento box and shoved rice in my mouth. I almost choked on the chicken, but I chugged on water to swallow it all down.
'When will Uryu get over Yoshino?' I stopped myself from eating the moment my thoughts asked that question. 'Why did I asked myself that?'
When I mentioned that almost went back to normal, I didn't just mean that Uryu's Quincy powers aren't fully back yet. He hasn't been the same since after Yoshino's death. Even after the Bounts were gone. The others believed that he had real feelings for Yoshino. For me, I oddly don't want it to be true. For that reason, since I witnessed Uryu with Yoshino, I've been feeling upset thinking about them together. Disliking the fact that Uryu wouldn't move on. I don't understand why.
"I guess there's some trouble in paradise, huh?" Michiru said, which made me look at her all confused.
"What do you mean?" I ask her.
