We all got up getting ready to leave before I heard Vander voice again "(y/n) I need to talk to you after I'm done talking to Vi so don't go anywhere" I looked back at him giving him a nod as I made my way out of the room with everyone else
"why don't we go eat outside (n/n)" Powder grab my hand and pulled it a little I close one of my eyes and gave her a smile "all right let's head out then" you could hear the pain in my voice but I tried to swallow it making sure it wasn't too noticeable
Once we got outside Powder went to go look through the dumpster outback see if she could find any more parts as I was leaning on the wall by the door "you find anything interesting wildflower" all she did was give me a hum she jumped down and came over to me and put a hand on my shoulder making me whine in pain
"(n/n) are you ok" I try to fake a smile as I let out a chuckle "i'll be fine wildflower you won't have to worry about me" I could tell that she wasn't convinced as I kept a hold of my shoulder moving her hand "are you sure should I go get Vander" I shook my head no as I moved my hand off my shoulder wiping away a tear from her face "no need I'll be fine ones I'm done talking to him I'll get my shoulder look at" I could tell that she was hesitant and was fighting every urge to run back inside to grab Vander
"why don't I help you I could help you look through the dumpster and see if we can find any" I could tell that she was worried and hesitant to agree but she did agree to that and took me over to the dumpster she kept a hold of my non-dominant hand because last time when she grabbed my dominant hand I hissed pain since it was my dominant shoulder that was in pain
I wasn't really any help but it made her smile so that was enough for me I heard the door open and turned to look at Vander Claggor was with him though I got down trying not to show any pain
"Claggor wait inside for me real quick Powder go inside" I knew that she was hesitant but did what she was asked
"you know they look up to you as well especially Powder" I bit my tongue as I nodded my head "you know if you think something is wrong or going to end badly you need to speak up you can't just agree with them 24/7" I looked away from him as I spoked "like they were actually listen" I looked back at him to see he had a pitiful look on his face "well maybe if you stop doing stupid stunts then they will listen you're reckless out there I heard what you did on that mission" I looked away from him again as I bit my tongue "I understand the jumping from buildings part you guys almost do that all the time but staying behind knocking crates in front of the enforcers saying that you'll put the target on your back so they don't have to face it that's reckless you can't think like that" I turned away from him completely and started to walk out of the alleyway
"I get it I'm just a dumb kid right someone has been going on mission in their lives for how long now but yet I'm still a dumb kid but yet for some reason I get the responsibility I'm the second youngest but I have to act like the mature one for what tell me tell me when they actually care about me because the only one that I know that does in this entire place is Powder the only one in the last drop that I live with that cares for me is Powder now in the entire undercity I want to say about two or three counting Powder that actually generally cares for me" I turned to look at him one last time "and you're not one of those people that actually cares for me you might've saved me that day but I see how I am to you is just someone that can do jobs that you don't care who gets injured"
Before he could say another word I walked away I had to take care of my shoulder before the pain gets even worse I didn't care if he came after me right now I didn't care if he didn't I know who truly cares for me he might a little but he don't show it he did that first night I came here when he actually wrapped up my wounds and took me in but that was really it when I started to go on missions I think it faded away or turn to tough love whatever it is I don't need it right now
I took the back way to my destinations because I knew that the streets would be more dangerous I also know that I will be home pretty late but I need to take care of this I knew that Powder would worry for me because I'll be gone a lot longer than I should be but like I keep saying I have to take care of this I need to get this looked at to see what's the damage and get it wrapped up before it gets worse I know I'm not bleeding so I didn't have to worry about blood
I finally got to my destinations I open the door and went up the stairs I knew that she lives on the third floor of the apartment building once I got to the door I knocked and stepped away a little waiting for her to answer
It took her a few seconds but she finally open the door "hey Sevika"
