"Grell!" The dark haired demon shouted, chasing his red headed companion. 

The red head in question laughed loudly, "catch me if you can, (y/n)!"
The two immortals jumped from building to building, laughing and giggling like children at a playground.

You collapsed onto the roof of a random house, groaning in exhaust. Grell laughed, sitting next to your laying form. "What exactly did you drag me out here for?" you asked, slightly irritated with the childish reaper.

The reaper laughed again, "am i not allowed to catch up with a dear friend of mine?" Grell asked teasingly.

You groaned at her. You laughed slightly, "you're annoying, have i ever told you that?" Grell chuckled, "indeed you have."

The old friends caught up after all the years apart, talking back and forth for hours on end, until the faint call of Grell's name grew louder and louder.

"Grell Sutcliff!" shouted a familiar voice, approaching rapidly.

Grell whined at the familiar yells of her 'boss'. "What now William?" she wailed annoyingly.

William groaned irritated. "(y/n), why do you choose to associate yourself with this bafoon?" He inquired.

"Don't be like that," you chuckled, patting his head.

William slapped away your hand with a swift motion.

You whined in pain, "Ow! What was that for?!"

"You mustn't entertain Grell while he's in the midst of working!" William scolded.

He turned back to Grell, "Off to work with you!" He shooed.

Grell cried dramatically, running off to finish her work.

You giggled, getting ready to leave as well, when William stopped you.

"(Y/n)," He spoke sternly, Startling the quiet man.

You braced yourself for another scolding, squeezing your eyes shut. But, it never came, instead you felt a gloved hand gently pat your head, making you flush red.

"It was nice seeing you," the dark haired reaper spoke softly before turning to leave.

You covered your dusted red cheeks with one hand, waving farwell with the other.

"Ooo~" you heard a familiar red head tease from behind you.

You jolted, turning around. "Don't you have work to do?!" You pointed out, embarrassed.

Grell waved her hand dismissively, "I can do it later," she spoke.

You sighed, accepting that you won't be able to avoid the topic.

"So~? What was that about?" She giggled childishly.

You hesitantly spoke, "Yes, I do like William."

Grell gasped excitedly, jumping around enthusiastically.

"I've got to tell Ronald!" She exclaimed loudly.

After being forced to stay hidden in Grell's closet, you hear Ronald and Grell drag William into the room.

"What is this about?" William inquired, annoyed.

Ronald responded, "we have a few questions we'd like to ask you."

William nodded slowly, staring at the two knuckleheads.

Grell cleared her throat to start speaking, "What are your thoughts on (Y/n)?" She asked curiously.

The dark haired reaper looked baffled, as if saying 'this is what you idiots dragged me here for?'

He sighed, holding the bridge of his nose tightly, "he's a dear friend of mine, he is similar to what humans refer to as a 'younger brother' to me." He spoke sincerely.

"WAHH?!" Grell yelled, shocked.

You could feel your heart break.

"What? What did you expect me to say?" He asked curiously.

Ronald butted in, "we thought you may have had romantic feelings for (Y/n)."

William laughed, a sight that shocked all three. "Why would you think that?" He asked, wiping the tears of laughter off away from his eyes.

"Well.." Grell tried to come up with an excuse.

"Nevermind, I don't care, I'd like to remind you, not everything is a fairytale."
